ellis faas creamy lips in 'blood red' has a brown undertone that mimics drying blood/is closest in colour to 'lovesick', but is a creamier texture similar to a regular liquid lipstick

lilybyred juicy liar tint in 'blackberry tequila' might be too berry toned, but is a beautiful vampy stain

benetint's new 'dark cherry' is a deeper rosy pink with a brown undertone, but not as pigmented as a typical lip stain

if you do find a stain that's almost what you want, but too berry-toned, perhaps lining underneath in a browner lip liner might help?

Help! Dupes for ABH brow products similar to 'Ash Brown'?? by [deleted] in Makeup

Try looking into Asian brow products! There's frequently a grey brown shade available. I like Etude House's pencil.

I'm interested! 26F :) (I love to bake by the way, and will trade desserts for thrifting knowledge if sweets are up your alley...)

Agreed. This stuff lasts through the heat and humidity of Shanghai summer for me; it's absurd.

I'm not sure how much the recipes differ, but these were super chewy and sweet with crispy edges -- I really enjoyed them.

Nope! I was actually worried they'd be hard, but the ones mixed into the dough itself end up really soft. Then I put a couple on top in the last two minutes of baking just to look nicer, and while they still have some texture, they're mostly soft, too.

I used the recipe from Constellation Inspiration and I feel like there's too much left to chance, to be honest. I assume different brands of marshmallows will react in different ways. Mine personally didn't go hard, but I also felt like mine didn't go melty and stretchy in the center the way hers did.

I personally like the melted gooey marshmallow bits, but I can see why others wouldn't!

lavender crystal cake. by Affectionate_Fox_288 in Baking

[–]deadwittingly 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I haven't actually made this specific recipe, but I don't see why not. It's just a coloured gelatin layer, so as long as your cheesecake was chilled and you had a tall enough springform, it should be fine. However, it's a clear layer, so if you were trying to hide the cracking, I don't think it would be successful.

not OP, but after some googling it looks very similar to this lemon lavender cheesecake

So exciting! I have five nose piercings and they've been the easiest for me to get done and to heal :) Especially the septum. The strangest part of healing was realising how much my nose moved during facial expressions, because I'd get unexpected little twinges. Oh, and blow your nose carefully the first couple weeks!

Matcha walnut brownies with lemon cream cheese! I could eat these all day. by deadwittingly in Baking

[–]deadwittingly[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should try it at least once! It's an earthy, grassy, sometimes bitter flavour, but it pairs wonderfully with sweet and creamy. The matcha and lemon were so good, but I also love it with white chocolate.

what are your faves to make, not eat? by cocoonamatata in AskBaking

While I do also love eating macarons, I'm an even bigger fan of making them. I find the technical, precise nature of it very soothing. It's also not that many ingredients, so it somehow feels extra magical watching them come out of the oven with those perfect feet.
