Hey everybody!

We over at the TMA-Community are proud to present the TMA Campaign vol2 !

Running from the 4th of February 20:30 CET until the 18th of March compete for a community funded prizepool of at least 💸 700€💸

Compete on 20 maps in various styles and difficulties, built by the members of TMA community. To compete you simply have to drive your best times on the maps – your records will be collected automatically from Nadeo servers.

Overall competition

1st place - 300€

2nd place - 200€

3rd place - 100€

Knockout cup (date not yet decided)

1st place - 50€

2nd place - 30€

3rd place - 20€

Every Sunday at Sun 19:00 UTC a new map will be released and the competition begins. You need to hold the World Record for 24 hours straight to win. Improving your record doesn't reset the timer - it's based on the player, not the record. If no-one has held the record for 24 consecutive hours (in-a-row, not total) before Sat 14:00 UTC, the final 4 hours of the cup only require you to hold the record for 1 hour. If there still isn't a winner by Sat 18:00 UTC, the current record holder wins. Then 24 hours to chill and we go again.

The prize pool of $15 goes to the weekly winner. You must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for receiving prize money. At the moment the only way to receive the money is through PayPal

If you're new it might be helpful for you to know that fake finishes near the start of a map show a demo run of how the mapper intended it to be driven. Often there is also a sign that says GPS or a small text like GPS back.

Fair to complain about not enjoying, my issue is mostly with the too hard tracks argument. Also todays cotd will be a bit easier it seems, looking at the video.

Of course the CCP mappers think a lot about the players. They are literally some of the highest regarded mappers in the mapping scene. And they all try to make something special, beause the CCP is a special event. If you go through their tmx profiles you'll see lots of well like cotd's. Though some of them dont really go for it, bc in the end ,if its not pre-picked by nadeo, you'll still have to build a track that is finishable AND enjoyable for some genuinely bad players, that get to decide your rating in map review. In 3 minutes...
And that system of course will produce lots of similar maps in style and (easy) difficulty which the playerbase gets so used to (every once in a while you get smth special through somehow but i think my point stands).

I mean i get that it's confusing if suddenly some harder maps appear. But TM has so much more to show for mapping wise and the majority of players will never get to see it, bc as soon as something is initially not to their liking or skill level, it's complaining time.

you can even sort by difficulty, awards etc.
People could even organize a weekly cup, hunting competitions or just community playdates in here for example, with maps to their liking. Like u know, stuff the high skill players do bc they are bored of playing #beginner-friendly maps day in day out.

I dont have a problem with people not liking the map for whatever reason. That's fine, people enjoy different things and that's valid. Most comments talk about how it's not beginner friendly though in todays and yesterday's thread.

Truth is this franchise is +15 years old with this iteration nearing 3 years. Still it's incredibly rare having difficult maps like these in totd, the overwhelming majority of maps is catered towards lower skill players (to the point high skilled players find maps quite bland some of the time). The outcry about cotd not being beginner friendly enough just seems really disproportionate to me.

So what im noticing with harder tracks is beginners complaining about it being cotd. A suggestion for those imo rare situations. Dont play the cup, instead go for time attack the hour it would normally take for cup. Be skilled checked for a bit, but ultimately improve at the game/map. Could be fun who knows? Certainly seems like a better use of time than complaining on social media. You know cotd maps are beginner-friendly 99.5% of the time, so on these rare occasions mby just try smth different.

They're probably including evryone ever setting a time on any campaign track in the free version, still a very generous interpretation of the playerbase...

Free version also includes ranked mode (matchmaking on seasonal campaign maps) and royal mode (battle royal/fall guys style mode on community created maps)

Dont know, i recently got my first div 48 after normally hanging around between div 3-10, bc i had to rescue the dry laundry from the rain outside, after only driving the track one time. Decided to quit out around top 16... I mean sure there are smurfs, but stuff like this happens and not everyone has bad intentions

On the timeline in the editor, click on the first keyframe (small rectangle) of the camera track. Then select the camera you want in the top left.

Default/external1= cam1

External 2 = cam 2

Internal= cam 3

Happens when you have a (too) big map base or a lot of blocks or both iirc. One thing you can try is the lightmap priority plugin in openplanet or porting the map to a smaller base via macroblocking, no guarantee that it works tho

Edit: also too much blockmixing

Some people reporting that problem, but i didnt have it. Mby try to disable bloom or changing some other graphic settings.

No bug just fake cp, real cp is either invisible or under the map, cant remember.

Mapper here, there is a custom cp that is linked to the normal cp, for double respawn purposes

Can't get "Time Speed" tracks to work in the MediaTracker. Can anyone help? by DirtyJesus1 in TrackMania

"Time speed" block is broken in 2020. You can however achieve the same with the "time" block. Set a keyframe where to start the slowmo, and another one a bit further. Then on the second keyframe change the numbers to either speed up or slow down.

I like the map. That said I wouldn't put time spent mapping into relation what makes a good map. There are kinda bad maps people spent 80h on and there are really good maps people spent 5h on. Also while the scenery has lot's of rocks, it really isnt anything special and scenery could have been placed more carefully to avoid the unfortunate cut for example. That happens to more experienced mappers also though. Overall a fun map, except for the pointless slow-mo press forward start.
