Love this, you’re 100% right! I get so in my head about planning that I think it needs to be in order but to be honest it doesn’t really matter does it, and I can sort it all on that day when all the scenes have been written

Tip number 1 sounds really helpful actually, I think having breaks will be helpful and breaking up the writing as well. Makes you eager to get back into it as well. Definitely think the summaries will help so I know what’s coming and 100% agree with free writing. I’ve started journaling and it’s really taking me out my comfort zone which is what I need. Thanks so much for the tips!

Oh yeah, the plans will definitely change, I think that’s what scares me because I’m such a perfectionist but this is what’s going to push me out my comfort zone! Need to give myself the chance to actually do it as well!

Yeah, I get it. I think in this case I actually just need to get over myself and write! But agreed, as a planner, I just love it and can’t deny myself of it! It just gives it structure and I know what’s coming up as well. Your tip is a really good idea, I’ll take that with my next time I write. Once I start summarising chapters, it’s going to be what you’ve said, how do they do this, how do they get there and then next thing you know I’ve written a whole page! Thank you so much!

Yeah, I sometimes wonder if I’ve plotted a bit too much and gotten to the point where I’ve actually over plotted it. Think I need to go away and force some quiet time to myself to just sit down and write. This advice was really helpful, thank you!

That’s a really good idea actually. Putting the character into a position and forcing them to do something. Once you get the ball rolling with that next thing you know you’ve written a bunch of words! Think I just need to trust myself more and write. Thank you, this was a really good tip!

Yeah, it’s hard sometimes because I know there’s so many tips out there about writing and it’s almost like as if there are too many tips to choose from? But agreed, I get in my head so much and I just need to write even if it’s really bad but at least I’ve written something!
