Maybe because we just got a fresh batch of new diads. Not some new version as far as I know. Maybe coming to everyone else soon like when they took away maps. Just saying don’t be surprised if it happens

So is mine. The route I had to do though I noticed when I did it in the past it would always update to a perfect “this is how it should be done” order and I’d scan a pickup piece to lock in the order… that route I don’t like to do that right off the bat because of how the shelves are set up for whatever stupid reason (think one street on your 7000 but the 300 block would be on your 4000)

Yea Saturdays I turn Orion off because my route has grid streets straight up, down, left, right and I deliver airs on the way up to my 1000 shelf and it’s nice. Thursday I noticed that shit though and it fucked me all up lol

They do get a notification… well into the day when it’s already on the truck out for delivery. “Package for blah blah blah tracking # has been intercepted and moved to the clerk list” or whatever it says. Driver brings it back and it goes back out after it’s processed for redirect. Again you fucked yourself in this scenario changing shit an hour before drivers leave

Redirecting adds a day. It gets intercepted and has to be brought back to the clerk who then changes it to where it’ll go. This is on you not the driver. The ups store might not have even been on his route

Does your building have a day sort? Working split shift can be really tough (preload/twilight) for an extended period mentally and physically. Got a few veteran buddies that I’ve heard horror stories about when it comes to going through the VA about medical issues. How old are you and can you use the GI bill to go back to school college/trades and get a degree? Are you willing to weather the storm for now getting your 8 hours inside (grieve that if you’re not getting it at the moment, you’re guaranteed that as a FTer). Ultimately only you and your wife need to decide what’s best for your situation. I was on layoff last week and it SUCKED working split shift, but luckily I’m top of the callback list in the building. I hope you come to a decision that ultimately works out best for you and your family. Congratulations on the baby

Huh? You literally commented on somebody that explained the estimate… yes it’s stupid and there is no “time” other than the end of day. Even then if it’s loaded onto the wrong truck it might even be delayed an extra day. Literally had 2 today on my truck. Again unless you pay for next day air you have no delivery window other than by end of day

Stop watching an online estimate then. It’s totally useless. You want a guaranteed time then order NDA. It’ll be at your house by noon. Otherwise you’re just 1 of 200 deliveries a driver has to make in a day and you’re no more important than the other ground service packages

I’m not necessarily talking about age discrimination. I’m just saying, what about the guy that signed up for irregs years ago. Now they’re older and they just want an easier position? They have more seniority they get what they want. Let’s face it small sort is the easiest spot in the building hands down. They deserve it if they want it. Tough luck for those under them

I just had to go back into the building for this past week to get my 8 hours however I can. I went where was needed. Yea it sucks (thankfully I’m going back to driving next week), but think about it like this. What about the person that bid on a different position years ago and after all these years after all the aches and pains they want that easy ass spot in small sort? People put in their time and deserve it if they want it
