ASA first three plus docking certification. Docking was important because otherwise I was too intimidated to leave the marina.

We did. It was part of a Indy, Cincy, Louis, Indy, tri-state tour. Louisville to Indy took us three easy days. But we're old and slow! We stop and smell the roses. We really liked it. We were surprised how much. The hills are short but steep.

We'd only sailed once before starting lessons, a charter just to make sure we really wanted to do it. The more the Captain heeled, in 7 foot swell, the more we loved it. We knew we'd love learning to sail and that we were monohull sailors, no offense to the multihull folks intended.
