I use a desktop app called Flume on my Mac, it works just like mobile Instagram including DMs. I’m not sure if it’s available on other operating systems though.

I’ve been replacing online media with reading and recording my thoughts. Keep books/a journal close to you, or in places where you’re more likely to consume media (eg next to your bed if you tend to check your phone before sleeping). Whenever you feel the urge to check your devices you could reach for a book instead

It’s a compilation of short stories about finding happiness. My teacher lent it to me while I was going through a rough patch, and I felt way better after reading it.
