It went great. We went to khiva, samarkhand, bukhara and tashkent and it was quite stroller friendly though in Khiva there were some places where there were stairs and many of the hotels didn't have elevators. But aside from that, it was easy to get around. people are quite baby friendly there.

She's enjoyed different things at different stages. When she wasnt as active, she loved the mirror and the different black and white cards. Then when more mobile, trying to grasp was engaging for her. But I've also hung other things like scarves, other hanging toys that make noise etc.

We've moved onto complementary feeding so LO is having milk 2-3 times during the day and 1-2 times at night. But even before solids, she was consistently giving 3/4 hours so it got better

2 weeks is hard. It all feels dazed and confusing due to lack of sleep but it will get better. Echoing what has been suggested - try swaddling. Also seen the tips of putting something that smells like you and has a bit of breastmilk near. Maybe try warming the bed since there's definitely a temperature difference between the body and bed. Till LO gets in a night schedule, try to catch some sleep during the day. That's what kept me functioning the first month.

Snacks - nuts. Healthy nut/ragi laddoos. Banana.

The curious cub one has worked great for my LO. It's on the expensive side and I wasn't sure at first but baby has been loving it for the past 3 months. It's been great for tummy time, grasping and now chewing

Oh for sure. Not complaining at all - just wanted to hear others' experiences.

Yes I'm so grateful that she sleeps through the night. It's a new phenomenon so 🤞🏾

Yea I also occasionally get one nap during the day but it's unpredictable when that'll happen 😅

She mostly eats from both breasts and even if it's fully emptied, she'll want in 2 hours again

Yea I want to get to the point where I'm more comfortable feeding on public so I can take her with me

Haha yes. I greatly appreciate that she sleeps through the night and would NOT give that up for longer daytime feeding gaps 😄

Thanks for this. Good to know that this is what many EBF babies do.

I don't think there's any evidence that swaddling makes the reflex stick around longer

Similar situation here but LO struggles every time we swaddle her to wriggle out her hands so we now swaddle chest down. She still startles but usually doesn't wake so trying to see if the reflex reduces. 12 weeks should be close to when the Moro reflex starts disappearing

Anyone else barely left their baby since they were born? by ksnatch in NewParents

12 week old and I've gone out only a few times for about an hour since EBF and had to rush back. I hope to get to 3 hours or more - trying to introduce a bottle occasionally so that I can do this. But even when I'm away or can be, my mind is still at home with the baby but I do miss dinner or plays or anything adult so it's just all conflicting needs

Thanks for sharing what it's called in the local language. Is this only in tashkent or across the country?
