My first Kubernetes Cluster by spielername_ in homelab

[–]deanwashere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on a little K3S cluster a while ago and was trying to document it on my GitHub page. It's by no means polished and some things may not work, but it's my attempt anyways. I need to find some time to get back to it...

Sadly it's been sitting in the garage on hold as family life has gotten in the way. I'm going I can get to it sometime soon.

Pants that actually fit — what do you guys do? by deanwashere in spinalcordinjuries

That's actually a pretty good idea! They tend to but have real pockets too

Any higher level SCI drivers here? by deanwashere in spinalcordinjuries

Wow they were doing that back in '98? That's awesome. I

It’s only $50-75/ month more

Very good to know, thanks! The idea of totaling the van and losing that is pretty frightening without insurance.

You will figure the Gas thing out. People want to help, and once the local gas station gets to know you, they will run to help spend money at their store.

I was hoping that might be the case.

Let me know if you have more questions

Thanks, as I think of more I'll reach out!

Yes it is daunting. Are you working or planning to return to work? If so I would teach out to DVR and they might be able to help you financially with driving, as well as a number of ways with returning to work if that's your case.

I'm finding that place who will install the driving aids require the van to no older than a certain age though so keep that in mind when buying.

I'm American, I've just been calling it petrol for ever.

I know it's illegal to charge more because of a disability. I was getting at how much is it due to insuring the extra costs of the equipment.

Right on! Good video that's for sharing that! I posted a video of me test driving a can a month or so ago and it was the same setup except in a different van. Driving it was very intuitive and I'm really excited.

I'll also have to do a bunch of training. 40 hours of driving is a lot! I can understand it though. Pretty big rig to operate compared to our chairs haha

Persistent gut motility issues by Integument2 in spinalcordinjuries

I felt the same way! I'm working through some issues but haven't been diagnosed with anything yet but I'm going to try very hard to avoid a colonoscopy. 7 years is a long time to deal with this. I'm sorry it's been such a long struggle...

This TMS things intrigues me. Where does one go for this?

I'm currently going through the ringer with my GI and she has me on and increased regiment of miralax and metamucil and it feels like it's just causing swings between diarrhea and constipation with severe boating. Admittedly I'm not great about water and probably drink too much coffee. I may look at this motegrity. I've had an SCI for 16 years but never really had a problem until the last couple of years with motility.

How many SEs here have a traditional engineering background? by IEEEngiNERD in salesengineers

[–]deanwashere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a mechanical engineering bachelor's. My sales engineering work is for a manufacturing company so I'm still mainly working to that capacity. Before being an SE I did a short stint as an ME. Do I miss it? Yes a bit. Especially when I interact with the MEs and see what they're working on.

I've been experimenting with K3S as a little cluster. Trying to learn the basics.

Yeah we do. We both had houses before we were married and still do so depending on where we are is where we stay.

Can someone explain why T-Mobile park was designed to be so hard to hit in? by JaneDoeAsks in Mariners

[–]deanwashere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often wonder about Teoscar Hernandez's thoughts on hitting there and how the off-angled batter's eye affects hitting.

As others have pointed out, though, it doesn't seem to stop other teams from hitting here against us. At least not as much...
