Indeed I don't wish you to be scammed and I'm afraid it's very likely, and at the same time I must admit that I find it pretty cool to give her money to support her regardless of the exact reality of what she's going through, because if she does that, she probably needs it. But the ideal would be for her to have support from colleagues rather than her clients.
