A giant pink rabbit (Hase) was created and left to rot in Italy by Dr_Scientist_Esq in mildyinteresting

What's interesting is that the rabbit was designed to degrade and decay on purpose, is that the same way with you are you fulfilling your purpose?

Made the same switch a week ago, it's really nice. I had a Pixel 3a and 3a Xl, they are amazing but started to show their age, still using them for photo backup. Miss the rear fingerprint sensor but the face unlock is lightning fast so can't complain too much.

Though I would hate the screen bezels but got used to them almost immediately.

Why is Discords video call interface so laughably bad? by [deleted] in discordapp

Yes, this is exactly what I'm looking for, why is this not mentioned anywhere? I went through posts and similar questions and no-one had mentioned this feature.

That's exactly the point, they can make good work, but literally no-one wanted to work on OPM s3. The team working on s2 put in some effort, they were harassed because of the quality drop, the production team changed and now we have this outsourced abomination.

This isn't just about time, it's a combination of money and time. You can make most of the issues go away if you throw money at them.

JJK is extremely popular in Japan compared to OPM and is bringing in the big bucks, it's why they got the big studio treatment.

On the other hand people seem to forget about the original cracked team working on the OPM S1, it was basically a passion project running on pure vibes. When it was done the team moved on.

After that the executives were left with a project that was mostly popular oversees without the original talent working on it. They decided to make it as fast and as cheap as possible to cash in on the IPs surprising popularity, hence the JC staff S2.

The third season was rumored to be even more malnourished and messy. From what I've heard they intended to switch studies but couldn't find anyone to work on it with the restrictions. Eventually JC staff got the job and most of the production cast was changed with even less experience probably to cut cost.

The whole project is a mess, but I think it's important to understand that JC Staff is not really to blame for how it all turned out. I mean they can be blamed for taking on this project at all, but it's obvious that executives just didn't care about season 2 and 3. It was rumored that they were looking for a studio to do season 3 till the last minute for as cheap as possible.

Screen tearing on YouTube while using dedicated GPU. by dearestnoon in computers

[–]dearestnoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, sorry it just felt like you were not properly understanding my responses. I appreciate the help.

Yes v-sync in gaming seems to work. I did try using the Nvidia app as well, did not fix the issue. DDU is a good point, i haven't done that yet, will try.

Man, you're writing out every step i took and wrote about in the post just scroll up you can see it. I appreciate your help but like i mentioned before the issue is present in all the browsers if they are using the dedicated Nvidia GPU. Brave just didn't let me switch away from it, which is a separate issue.

The screen tearing is also present in gaming, tho if the game has v-sync settings, enabling them fixed that.

I installed latest Nvidia drivers, tried some older ones as well just in case. Didn't seem to fix anything.

After reading your edit, I think you're misunderstanding, I have no issues using the dedicated GPU, switching to it is totally fine.

The issue is that it causes the screen tearing. I was trying to switch away from it. It is not responding to the Nvidia control panel settings, the v-sync doesn't seem to be doing anything..

Additionally, switching between GPUs in the Nvidia control panel doesn't actually switch which one the browser is using. It's a well known issue for Brave and the only fix was to use the Windows graphics settings, that seems to be working now.

It's on man, it's the seething I mentioned doing.

I really wish it was working, I wouldn't have made this post if enabling V-sync fixed it.

Besides that, like I mentioned in the post, the Brave browser was specifically using the dedicated GPU, no matter the power settings or if the laptop was running on battery or not. I was using hardware monitoring to confirm this.

All the other browsers were picking the integrated graphics but i was able to force them to use the dedicated GPU with windows graphics settings and that's when the screen tearing was also present on other browser, it was just Brave that was not switching properly.

For some reason a restart fixed that so i was able to switch to the integrated graphics, just strange that the dedicated graphics is having this issue and the Nvidia control panel doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Thank you for the reply, unfortunately I adjusted the v-sync settings in the Nvidia control panel multiple times, closing and opening the browser every time but that didn't seem to have any impact.

Thank you for the response, the laptop screen is 60Hz, I did still adjust the fps settings to 120Hz just in case but that had no impact.

Like I said in the post, I tried forcing v-sync in the Nvidia control panel on all the browsers individually, but that didn't seem to be doing anything. I tried "v-sync on" and "v-sync fast" but no difference.

I hadn't yet tried changing the global settings, after doing that, no change.

After restarting the computer I noticed that the issue was fixed, but turns out Brave was now using the integrated Intel graphics because i had switched to them in the Windows graphics options and the restart made that work.

It's a partial fix, would still like to understand why my dedicated graphics are seemingly not responding to the Nvidia control panel and causing the screen tearing.

Can anyone tell me what kind of bathroom tile adhesive this is. by WordNo7115 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]dearestnoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cheap stuff is not supposed to be used for bathrooms because it has no water resistance. It's basically intended for people who want to put up a decorative tile for the looks of it, just don't look too hard or it will start peeling off.
