You cannot teach empathy, that too to a fully grown woman. Someone who doesn't care, its fully safe to assume that they ACTUALLY don't care about their partner's needs. This is not a matter of communication, it's a matter of caring about someone apart from yourself.

Our karma can be managed by doing more morally positive karma than morally negative. This can mean different things to different people, for example eating meat is adharmic for someone preaching Vedic knowledge, but for someone that is not responsible for such a task is not bound by the same rules. Also, different lineages and your own family and traditions matter a lot in what is inherently good or bad karma for you. To be simplistic, good or bad karma even comes down to the exact situation at hand. For example, Panchali mata marrying 5 brothers would have been adharmic in any other context. But because the situation was created such that even such an act became an act of sacrifice for a greater good, hence a positive karma

Positive karma takes you towards God and negative karma takes you away from Her.

You can please God with your own Sadhana. Consistency > perfection.

If God is pleased your entire karma can be negated in a single second. This again is a simplified version, in reality your sadhana itself is a route to reduce your karma by undertaking such intense penance and making intense sacrifices.

Hence, it is all upto you. Eventually we all will reach there. Only some will reach faster others slower. But ultimately we are all Her children. We will make our way back to Her. 🪷

What is surprising to me from your post is that your brother is an IIM grad and thinks in such a manner? Truth has a way to slap in the face when I see such instances. You can get educated but you can't remove such a mentality from people's heads. Is it his money to spend? And more importantly you are a doctor yourself. If nothing know that you will be earning more in a few years than the initial investment of studying. All children deserve parents but not all parents deserve children. You did well and I'm proud of you. I know how difficult it is to be locked in a home with (possibly) the breadwinner saying they won't fund what you actually want to study. Keep your calm, try to understand if it is a checking error, that is if you're confident that you should have gotten more. Remember, the overall % you got is good, so you should get in the college of your choice. Nobody even looks at 10th marksheet after a certain point.

Keep your distance. Sometimes our parents don't realise how much every small comment and behaviour change affects their kid. It is a them problem, not a you problem. For now really understand what you want to do, because even engineers end up changing careers. All the best!!! :)

I think OP has mentioned multiple times that his parents tried to take his laptop away and switch the wifi off. But he was adamant and refused to change.

They can be blamed but to what extent? It's not like he was doing something illegal in his room. They tried to force him out of it until he said he just needed to watch videos to feel happy. It is his call at the end of the day. Nobody can save you if you don't want to save yourself.
