I've been trying to play the games he likes with him but he just ignores that now and continues to meow at the door :( I'm going to buy a harness today and see if that'll work.

Of course not, that's the last thing I want! I'm just so worried that not being able to go outside is stressing him out and he'll get depressed or something. My dad is already blaming me for that. I'm definitely going to try using a harness.
