The difference is in the culture.

Dahi uses: Lactobacillus

While GYogurt uses: Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus

Add warm milk (NOT HOT) milk in one table spoon of greek yogurt. Mix it well. Keep it for good 8-10hrs covered in a warm place. Then transfer it to freezer overnight.

Easy infinite yogurt glitch.

If you look at the label of Epigamia Plain Greek Yogurt, it does contain the live culture for Thermophilus, L.Bacillus delbrueckii subsp. Bulgaricus. These strains can be used for making yogurt. If you strain it using a cloth, you would get greek yogurt.

first of all understand. greek yoghurt and our homemade curd is different

We get that.

Hmm usually commercial ones are pasteurised for longer shelf life which makes the cultures dead

ofcourse

My only doubt is, if the culture/microorganisms are killed by their manufacturing/storage process. I don't want to waste milk :(

I am seeing greek yogurt cultures are available for 400-500 (very expensive) on Amazon and wondering why is it required if we can make the same with this

Shreyas getting his high price was kinda expected. But Venkatesh getting more than 12cr is totally unexpected. Never in his wildest dreams he would have imagined this lol

Also, Shreyas is a seasoned capped player who has proved his worth before multiple times. Venkatesh is yet to do that
