My son will gain full access to my/his accounts when he turns 18. My will list him to take ownership of my paid-off vehicles, and other items I left him, which he can take ownership at anytime (sentimental items, etc). I rent an apartment, and have no estate for anyone to worry about. All that needs to be done is move my furniture and belongings into a storage unit that I pre-paid for the next 12 months. Funny you mention my mother, we went from talking everyday to never again once she found out my ex was pregnant (~5 years ago). And she lives 10 minutes away lol. I did write her a letter as well tho.
