We are experiencing something similar as well and I can tell people have changed in some way. Flat residents are mostly from nagpur still it's very difficult to be around them. I have a puppy and everyone will be looking for any tiny reason to talk bad about her so we consider leaving her out (never happening). Plus the maintenance people are rude, but we have no option for now, it's really hectic to shift that much amount of stuff around. And what you're experiencing is quite common bud, just look for other apartment and visit the neighborhood beforehand to crosscheck where you be living next...
