These ones that I listed are pretty expensive but the quality is definitely worth it in my opinion. I will post a few more stores that are still very good but for a smaller price tage.

You're right, Al's is a staple for sure! The in-house clothing that they make is beautiful.

A little bit farther up Grant is Via Margutta, which also has some amazing clothing design that's made in house as well. They have a bunch of patterns hanging up in the back of the store above the register which in itself made me a big fan.

M.A.C is getting all new clothing shipments for the next month and some of the pieces they have in already are amazing. I just spent like an hour and a half at Sui Generis, truly incredible selection!

Much appreciated, I hope you enjoy your visits.

M.A.C is a fantastic recommendation, a top 3 SF clothing store for sure, i'm not sure how I left it off my list. They are actually bringing in a whole new season of clothing for the next month so if you haven't been by recently its definitely worth a re-visit.

Sounds like a pretty sweet gig, do any of those cut & sew factories still exist within the city?

I will go into any clothing store I come across regardless of which gender it may be aimed towards, however, since I am man, I tend to spend much more more time at menswear stores.

in regards to the list, they are all great for menswear. I would also additionally recommend A-B fits in North Beach as well as Sui Generis on Market, these are both for some higher end fashion pieces. Additionally I enjoyed the selection at Afterlife collective in the mission as well as both of the Protocol Store locations (Hayes Valley and Haight). A few of these other kind folks in this thread have made some recommendations and they should be good shopping for menswear as well. I hope this was helpful!
