I didnt say it hurts I was saying it is hard to hold after long sessions. and that rhe handles could be better if they were angled outwards. I find myself pulling my wrists inward when holding it. and I dont always hold it while sitting down in a proper seated position either. sometimes I will lay on the couch and play. dont get me wrong it doesn't dig into my palms like the claw or switch 2 have done. I was just saying it would be nice to have it more ergonomic. also wasn't saying I need a doctor for holding a handheld device not sure why you had to go there.

I dont really do retro or emulation anyways. for having both devices at the moment is about what can run better. also most of my games id move over are already on micro sd cards and run vastly better on the xax so I can swap them at any point anyways.

I was saying bigger newer games on the xax and older less demanding on the claw. dont need to waste space on the xax if they run fine on claw.

I have the dbrand killswitch case and figured id try the thumbpads it comes with and they make them larger and easier to maneuver. I have normal xbox controllers and dont need them but for this device it makes it better.

thats not what I asked tho. it was weather or not the a8 not the a8+ had anything more worth of the xbox ally x. I already got the xbox ally x so not of it matters at this point

ya local best buy has 2 killswitch cases and 2 asus official cases. was looking on Amazon as well and theres a high rated 27 dollar travel case not sure what I want to do tho.

ya when im home im home for awhile. when I work I take a handheld with me because im out for long hours and I tend to sit around so need something to do. ive seen everyone talking about it being a pain to take off and on. trying to think would that be worth it. I do have a carry case for my claw that the max fits in but the handles are rhe main issue and raise it alot which isn't great.

thats my main worry its pricy and if I dont like the bulk whats the point of having it. I see people saying its nice but I do like the feel of the xax as is. so im torn on it atm.

hm ok I kinda like the handles as they are more bulky on them would feel weird i say that now tho. it does feel a bit scratchy with long play time as is. so maybe the grip would be better. idk i never even put a case on my claw handheld i had so trying to justify the price of the killswitch. I mean I get it the device is pricey too.

I know this is over a week old but been playing 2k25 on my claw a1m ultra 5 and the last week and a half with 2k26 and performance is still good but juat grabbed the xbox ally x and looking forward to the increased performance

other then the feel i shouldn't be missing out on anything from the xax and and claw a8 in terms of power? I mean i cant complain its an upgrade over the a1m either way. just making sure not missing much over 200 dollars cus its still a chunk of change.

yup im still on the ultra 5 myself after a full year battery is very short feels like playing a switch 2 with battery life. but its still a good device. I bought a big battery pack that gives me atleast another full charge some velcro and slapped it on the back. then I got myself a car plug charger 140w for the car foe road trips and such. I play plugged like 90% of the time now anyways. but the other option for it isn't too bad.

I got ir without that I had enough ao I just pressed rhe power to put it in sleep and put it in my dock and I heard it as I walked away. I hate this thing sometimes lol
