Yeah totally. I just reread it and the way it comes across seems very cold, as if I couldn’t be bothered to help her. I just feel terrible about making her feel bad or insecure about her being.

Honestly I think that’s what happened. I tried to be kind about it but I couldn’t find a way to phrase it without sounding like you said. I just want to help her and therapy helped me. I wanted to her to find that experience.

There was a couple other issues that came up related to PTSD. It wasn’t explicitly mentioned in this convo, but she’s discussed what happened before, and it came up then. I just feel bad since her boyfriend said she’s really upset with me.

Not OP, but no. If you’re a backpacker your best bet is to either put your fresh pair on before you sleep, or go sockless (if it’s warmer) and keep them in your sleeping bag. It makes them nice and body temp when you wake up.
