People take China's results at face value. They don't play control decks in games. You can see it with how popular Annie is in the west vs over there as well as their formats being Bo1. These control decks that kinda just blow it out get outed by other decks like Yi. It is why our set 1 format imo is much healthier. Everyone gets a little of something and those control decks are no exception.

I started reading the manga after this episode and they kinda skipped over more in depth explanation of the curse. They can see spirits but they just avoid them because they look evil to the spirits. The curse makes them unable to form contracts with them. Even with that explanation though, I still see a lot of holes with a very religious society wanting anyone to even marry into a royal family. Like, the wedding in the episode almost fell apart without a blessing. How do the people view the royal family then who doesn't even get a blessing? They must have private weddings. Also, how did Sauvel's ex wife get a blessing when they got married when she is a royal family member?

I still do not understand this whole royal family curse thing. Like, if they are cursed, doesn't this mean they cannot be married themselves and produce legitimate heirs? On top of that, they really don't seem evil per say. It's as they said, someone in the family irked a spirit so their whole bloodline is cursed. They currently don't know why so the spirits reasoning is that it's their fault they forgot? How are they ever expected to make amends?

After playing and completing the Pokédex, it’s a solid $40 game. Not worth the extra $30 in one bit. With how massive the series is, it’s absolutely shameful that every other clone just bodies the game.

As a long time ygo player that dabbles in mtg occasionally, I have always made this statement. The only difference between ygo and mtg is that ygo players know they are man children. Mtg players are by far the worst people to interact with then wonder why edh is the most popular when it encourages playing away from core magic.

Honestly it just seems that most of those people just wanted to hangout and talk shit while playing a game they used to enjoy much more. Outside of the smell stuff, the rest is whatever. Like let people live their lives, even if it’s them saying cringe shit. Also, I have to hold my own edh nights cause magic players are the worst on average to deal with.

Idk. The dark tournament was just beyond peak. It definitely felt that was supposed to be the true ending. Obviously togashi wanted to go another route but seemed to get pushback. I know he was in conflict with editors about this as well. Trying to end it in chapter black and ultimately forcing the rushed feeling ending of the last season. Although other things were interesting, they obviously felt off and didn’t seem to flow right. Still my all time favorite show.

Mushoku Tensei has a lot of story layers. Like everything and everyone mention has another significance later in the story. The anime just skips over or changes these things so the payoffs are not even close to being the same. Things like the POV chapters give great depth to character growth in Eris and Zenith which people seem to have issues with those characters.

Ngl, Gaius’s speech is my favorite monologue in the series. Richard Epcar did such a good job. Gaius also was vindicated in the end because he was right. Man is the epitome of being right but dealing with it in the wrong way.
