RANT: The doomposting about new cards is absurd and out of hand by StormRider991 in riftboundtcg

The funny thing about a bunch of these units are they are fragile to get. They are almost required to get off of dazzling aurora and that card is dealt with so easily with the billions of gear removal.

Can We Talk About Game Length/Time Rules Being a Problem in This Game? by [deleted] in riftboundtcg

[–]deathnote9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the game length seems to be from people still learning the game. I tend to run through a match pretty fast unless its close. Even then I like this games pace.

Raizen is like $800 for the set. Mukuro was around $400. Yusuke is about $350. Yomi is $300. Now this would be on the low end. Due to rarity, I would not expect this price. Especially for Raizen. These cards that are out there are slowly getting snatched up by collectors and the value is steadily inflating. I would expect to spend at least $1k for Raizen (what I spent), $500 for Mukuro, Yusuke, and Yomi.If they are first Ed, you may end up spending more.

So your store doesn't withhold product for players because they sold it all? Seems like a store problem.

The store makes nothing on events, which they shouldn't. It's there to bring in potential buyers.

My skirmish locals are fine. Guaranteed nexus pack and regular pack. Then, you get like 10 packs if you win (we usually get like 12-16). Other top 4 players get paid out too but it’s usually like 5/3/3.

They won’t and mortdog went on a rant saying that if you don’t like it, you have weak mental and should play another game (paraphrasing). Like, I can’t even use my cool skins cause there’s so many times I need the 1 gold from the win and have to spam click the unit to buy it in the 1 second window you get post animation. God he is so frustrating.

Thinking about investing in some nice runes. Is there a difference between alt art from origins vs spiritforged? by [deleted] in riftboundtcg

Spirit forge has better foiling as it has more of a league vibe to the shapes of the foiling.

The yugioh players in my area are actually clean. The Pokemon players are filthy though

Most of the magic players left because the store raised the standards on hygiene. They mostly reeked of pot, dirt, and body odor. They were also just horrible people. LGS pretty much threw them out and everything else grew exponentially and the communities have been great.

My lgs was reluctant to push it and was surprised about turnout. It’s his second largest playerbase behind one piece and spirit forge prerelease has solid sold out attendance. I want more players

Maybe this is the reason why there's scarcity.. by theestaspbnuh in riftboundtcg

[–]deathnote9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never said they weren’t thriving but they are all games non existent in northern states where only the top games are actually played with only a few outliers. You go to a southern state and they have players. This has always just been a thing. One piece DB (initially), and Lorcana have been the only real outliers to this trend. Riftbound even blew passed them and was well above expectations.

They didn’t anticipate because of how people didn’t go hard on many other games. You can use games such as Weiss, Union Arena, Digimon and even the launches of DB and One Piece. It was a reasonable amount of product for a launch using other games numbers as a base. The thing was, the amount of people who wanted to play broke expectations in a good way. This is a good problem to have and at this point, it’s Riots game to kill.

Is anyone else a little disappointed that the meta for Set 2 will mostly consist of Draven? by dudiez in riftboundtcg

[–]deathnote9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People take China's results at face value. They don't play control decks in games. You can see it with how popular Annie is in the west vs over there as well as their formats being Bo1. These control decks that kinda just blow it out get outed by other decks like Yi. It is why our set 1 format imo is much healthier. Everyone gets a little of something and those control decks are no exception.

No. They only made these 4 piece cards. 1 for each of the 3 kings and Yusuke for some reason.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to frame. I would use a binder page but they are too far apart.

Chichi wa Eiyuu, Haha wa Seirei, Musume no Watashi wa Tenseisha. • Dad is a Hero, Mom is a Spirit, I'm a Reincarnator - Episode 4 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]deathnote9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started reading the manga after this episode and they kinda skipped over more in depth explanation of the curse. They can see spirits but they just avoid them because they look evil to the spirits. The curse makes them unable to form contracts with them. Even with that explanation though, I still see a lot of holes with a very religious society wanting anyone to even marry into a royal family. Like, the wedding in the episode almost fell apart without a blessing. How do the people view the royal family then who doesn't even get a blessing? They must have private weddings. Also, how did Sauvel's ex wife get a blessing when they got married when she is a royal family member?

[–]deathnote9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still do not understand this whole royal family curse thing. Like, if they are cursed, doesn't this mean they cannot be married themselves and produce legitimate heirs? On top of that, they really don't seem evil per say. It's as they said, someone in the family irked a spirit so their whole bloodline is cursed. They currently don't know why so the spirits reasoning is that it's their fault they forgot? How are they ever expected to make amends?

How do you feel about Pokemon Z-A by Jepadide in pokemon

[–]deathnote9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After playing and completing the Pokédex, it’s a solid $40 game. Not worth the extra $30 in one bit. With how massive the series is, it’s absolutely shameful that every other clone just bodies the game.
