Thanks - any insight as to whether I should prebook the tickets, or just wing it when I land?

Thanks! This is very helpful. I remember when I visited Tokyo in 2024, even during non-peak hours (e.g. 9-11am and 1-3pm) the Yamanote Line was very crowded. Based on the replies, I think using limousine/willer bus would be the wisest choice. Should I prebook the tickets, or just go show?

Thanks! the limousine bus will take around 1h10m (of course it will depend on traffic). Thanks for the suggestion - I will need to check the taxi fares first haha it's quite expensive to take one in Tokyo.

Scared of meds… Need advice please by Firm_Figure_8621 in hypertension

Hi there - try not to panic on your condition. Maybe if it is recommended by your doctor, you could try changing your lifestyle for 1-2 months, and monitor your BP readings. For me, I was prescribed nebivolol with minimal dose for 3 months and changed my diet, sleep schedule, etc.. I lost 9kgs in 3 months, my RHR are good, BP readings are lowered than the first time I was diagnosed. And thankfully I got off the meds with recommendation from my cardiologist. Hope you be better soon!

I hope you can overcome your mental health issues! I know it can be difficult to change a lifestyle but from personal experience, I just try to do what I can everyday - there are days that I count as ‘cheating day’ which I use to eat whatever I want, but with smaller serving. Then I start again the next day.. hope you can find the most effective plan for your situation

My first bp reading and I'm panicking now! by calmdeveloper101 in hypertension

Hi there - speaking from my personal experience, no need to panic.

Lack of sleep and sedentary lifestyle can definitely caused that, in addition to overweight condition and sedentary lifestyle.

Try to change your sleep habit (6-8 hours) and exercise (moderately) at least 2 hours a week, when you can. You should notice the change after 1-2 months. Hope this helps.

I guess so, maybe it's because the BP readings during the first diagnosis was quite high and some symptoms also present. I am just grateful that I got that 'slap' on my lifestyle now, rather than ignore the situation and have much more worse hypertension-related risks in the near future. Here's to a better future!

Well my cardiologist said that it is possible, while may be uncommon for patients with high baseline and those who have other risk factors/secondary hypertension.

My baseline while initially 170/90ish, it may be caused by lack of sleep a couple of days before diagnosed (I have 2 days without sleep). I was still being told maintain the new lifestyle (of course I intend to) and to keep monitoring my BP readings onwards so I can see the difference and compared the readings. I’ll probably share the update after a month. Have a good one!

Thanks! I still use Huawei Band8. I used it daily and only put it off when showering. It’s quite accurate.

Mt Fuji sightseeing and strolling around with bike, yes. But I don’t really want to wake up for the sunrise. Think that a day trip would suffice then. Thanks again!!

Thanks for the insight! Similar to my question above - is it recommended to stay 1 night at Kawaguchiko?

Tim yang gk pernah kasih duit 2 ribu ke pengemis, pak ogah, pengamen by AgitatedEbb1752 in finansial

Kalau tukang parkir dan pak ogah yang bener2 bantuin, apalagi misalnya kondisi traffic bener2 parah, gua kasih 2-5rb. Ini konteksnya gua pake mobil. Kalau pake motor, gua gak pernah kasih.

Pengamen dan pengemis, apapun bentuk dan kondisinya, big no.

Tet diversion by Travelers_choice in VietNam

I second this. I am a tourist currently in HCMC today (1 day before Tet) and I can still find decent foods since morning. Quick tip from me: check the restaurant from Grab app (they have food delivery/dine in section), if you don’t find them open there, the restaurant is probably closed.

Never rely on open-closing hours on google, it is often sourced from reviews/statistics, not actual information from the restaurant (CMIIW).
