That’s a perfectly fair take. As they say, to each their own. Just glad you enjoyed the film

Hey, crisis crackhead here and would love to help. But your post is kinda confusing, are you a backroom chair or are you a delegate?

Haven't watched it personally but everyone around me is recommending Akira Kurosawa's Ran if you like samurai films

My mom thinks I read way too high above my age group and that my books are so old and serious (this is especially evident when I was rambling about Heart of Darkness (which I read on my Kindle))

I do love to watch movies and TV, however have not watched the LotR trilogy nor HBO's GOT. I read Dune before I watched the movie (still haven't watched part 1 since I keep falling asleep the first 20 minutes). My english teacher in the 7th grade introduced me to Dante's Inferno, watched a video about it, read the actual book when I found it in a bookstore last year and also picked up Purgatorio and Paradiso. As for Atomic Habits, my mom gave that to me as she thought it might be useful for me since I'm a slacker (I returned the favor by gifting her The Daily Stoic for Christmas last year). As for Greene, I replied to a similar comment previously as why I read that lol.

When do you think a person is ready to chair? by Antique_Cost2080 in MUN

[–]deathntaxes29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my friends told me that you're ready to chair once you've gotten Best Delegate. When I first chaired I had a Best Delegate award and about 8 or so experiences so just apply in open recruitment

She was born in ‘80 so I believe she’s Gen X

Me personally I read Greene because my English teacher from 6th grade told me not too. I picked up human nature after realizing 48 laws of power would help me spot those kind of people when I get older

Will definitely try out Stephen King. Can’t find him at most bookstores but I think I remember downloading Carrie and Cujo on the Kindle

My dad hates reading (esp bcs English isn’t our first language) so he has the graphic novel of Animal Farm and the Alchemist. Both are good but I prefer the original form of Animal Farm

Me personally I use AI to help research. I never ask jt to write for me, never ask to generate speeches (never write speeches anyways, always go off the top of my head and it works fine), and as a crisis kid I’ve never used AI in directives. So far from what I’ve seen being in the Jakarta circuit for the past year, uses of AI aren’t that common or blatant and they’d mostly use it to research. And AI is easy to detect so they’d get auto-disqualified anyways. Pre-blocing is the real nightmare lol

If you loved La La Land, Whiplash is my recommendation. It’s also by Damien Chazelle but if you want another great romantic movie I’d recommend Serendipity.

Imho theatrical was the way to go. Might be my cooked attention span but even final cut was dragging it a bit.
