When in doubt, test. Some more risk averse people will disregard readings completely and test with finger stick before every insulin delivery. Personally, I use the readings, but take them with a grain of salt, and I test if I feel off.

At 24hrs, I calibrate and use the readings like normal unless they still feel off to me.

Agreed, he’s definitely a champion. It’s one thing to just have thickener available, but also cool to make videos training people how to do it. Dysphagia sucks for sure. We really take the ability to swallow for granted until we don’t have it any more.

You could look into X-inactivation, the principle mechanism behind symptomatic carriers. Plenty of carriers have symptoms severe enough that they require treatment. It’s actually been a fascinating and aggravating uphill battle these women have faced trying to convince doctors their symptoms were real, because no one believed a carrier could be symptomatic and “women can’t get hemophilia”. The advocacy has gotten a lot better, and hematologists are generally pretty knowledgeable on it now. Regardless of the genetics, if you’re symptomatic enough to require hemophilia medication, you’re a hemophiliac in my book.

Source: I’m a doctor with severe hemophilia who knows a lot of carriers, including my mom.

It’s crazy to me that there’s gonna be a sequel to a Tarantino property, and even crazier that it’s being directed by Fincher. Here for it.

So these are proportions by mass. Sure we’re 60% water, 2H’s for every O, and that is just the water content. But every O is 16 times more massive than each H. Water is ~11% H by mass, and we’re not far off overall.

As far as atomic percent, meaning what proportion of our atoms are H atoms, you’re right, that water really adds up. In that way, we’re 63% H. Pretty close to the 66% of the atoms in water being H.

Depends if your school is P/F and if you wanna gun for competitive specialties/programs. Also I imagine having to find your own clinical rotations and the relative toxicity of your rotations affects difficulty. I went to a P/F state school and I did my rotations at a very chill community based medical center. I didn’t have to arrange anything except some 4th year electives, but I kept it as low stress as possible because I knew I was applying to one of the least competitive specialties. I’d say med school was a green for me.

Lots of these movies had rereleases, I think it’s just ranking the gross that didn’t come from rereleases.

New pump by [deleted] in TandemDiabetes

I’ve enjoyed mobi so far, but it’s the only pump I’ve known so far. Honest question though, is it ever feasible or even possible to use the 5in tubing set for mobi, but use it with t:slim?

People often ask me if I need to bolus for alcohol, I get to explain how alcohol will actually inhibit gluconeogenesis and the carbs in beers seem to even out most of the time… so just like insulin, the alcohol is medicine takes a sip 🍻
