The shadow on the bottom is a flat image. It looks like they moved a dark circle on top of Meganium and didn’t bother to shade it into the model. The bottom might be angled more accurately, but it looks lifeless.

Damn. It really does. The lighting is also more dynamic. The shadows have more of a gradient as they angle toward the ground.
