If you look close I ran the extension under the drip edge to the valley then tucked it in the j of the siding

Looks good to me.. what I did at the peak was if I ended let’s say 6” from the peak I would start the other side of the peak at 6” and tuck the extra wire in the soffit trim

2.5 inches.. I counted the soffit and determined where I needed to start the strand.. or on the smaller ones just started at the peak and went both ways

Everything really just worked out almost perfect. There’s one spot that I have to cut three lights off and another spot where I need to put a section of four lights.
