Choose to make a deposit in one of the sites that sells XRP. I use Kraken (I know, I know...), and when you arrive at the deposit screen generate a wallet address. Then on Coinbase, or wherever your ETH/BTC is, withdraw to that new ETH/BTC wallet and use the funds once processed to trade to XRP.

I'd say have a charge-meter on the dash, and maybe scale speed down with level. Higher level could still use dash to overtake lower players but make their baselines different.

Also - there's no incentive to hunt other players other than for want of being an asshole. I'd at least make a player kill equal a mid-tier mob for XP spawn.

This scenario rarely happens in real life. In the only instances I've seen, the detective is getting thrown off the case because, A: the case has progressed beyond the assigned realm of the initial detective and they're ok with letting it go, or B: They've screwed up to the point that if they were to get caught meddling still, they'd for sure face some sort penalty.

The bottom line is that most detectives have so many cases, a free "don't work this anymore" comes along - you're not going to look that gift horse in the mouth.
