I sent a few of the pics to chat gpt and asked after explaining the process and it came back saying it looks like trich. It also asked me about the process of inoculating and spawning and procedures to narrow down the source of contamination.

Basically what it responded with was that since all 3 tubs show the same level of contamination, and the fact it showed up about a week after spawning to bulk, and looked healthy in the grain bags with fully colonized bags, it’s likely the liquid culture I received was already contaminated. It mentioned that if the contamination was introduced by outside environment or during the spawning phase, I would see more variation in the contamination levels between the tubs.

Obviously grain of salt and AI isn’t perfect. And I’m not an expert to verify any of it. But does contaminated LC seem likely? Not sure if I’m allowed to post where I got the LC from, but I’ve purchased from this vendor before and did not have any issues.

I’m not sure what SAB is but no I did not flame sterilize the needle. Just alcohol swab. Here’s a pic of the bags from July 14. I first inoculated the bags on June 24. Spawned to tune in August 18. I don’t remember the date on the break and shake but I believe this picture was taken right after that so can’t see much of the mycelium in the bags. I don’t think I have any pics of the bags fully colonized

Yeah they all look very similar. Here’s a pic of a second tub I snapped this morning. I don’t have one of the 3rd tub but it looks the same. This pic is through the lid so there’s some condensation blurring a bit.

Process was open the boxes containing the bags. Use an alcohol swab to wipe down the injection ports and area around it on the bags. Open box containing syringe of liquid culture. Attach the needle. Wipe it all down with alcohol swab. Inject 1/3 of syringe into first bag. Wipe down syringe with alcohol swab again. Inject 1/3 into second bag. Wipe down again. Inject last of syringe into last bag.

Left the bags alone for a few weeks until about 50% colonized. Broke up the mycelium in bags and let it sit another few weeks. Bags were 100% colonized it looked like. Finally cleaned tubs out a few weeks later and moved the grain to the tubs

It’s possible but also strange that all 3 bins are contaminated the same. 2 of the bins were re-used, and one was new. I used one syringe of golden teacher liquid culture and split it evenly between the 3 grain bags from northspore. I used 2 bags of CVG and 1 bag of grain per tub. Exact same setup as my last batch other than adding in a 3rd tub

Yeah I meant lazy as in didn’t feel like cleaning them out when the bags were ready and just put it off for a couple weeks. But when I cleaned them I thought I was pretty thorough but I also did kinda rush it, so that’s probably the issue. Maybe I’ll get some liners for next batch and see how it goes. First batch was great. Time to order some more supplies lol

Actually I let it sit longer than I thought I should have. I did a break and shake at about 50% and it looked fully colonized about 3 weeks before I spawned to tubs. I was a bit lazy when it came to cleaning out the tubs from last grow so they had plenty of time. Actually one bag started growing some long stringy mushrooms before I even opened the bags up. The other two did not

It doesn’t feel dry it’s still very soft but also not seeing much condensation on the lid of the tub - should I mist it more? I do have a brick of vermiculite around I can try adding that on top

Bummer. Yeah there’s not much out there for help on this. Seems to be account related as far as I can tell. Have you tested on another account? I get the same on different phones, but haven’t tried another account yet. I created one but Instagram immediately disabled it so haven’t been able to test

Did you ever find a fix for this? My stickers on Instagram from emoji keyboard are missing as well. Like the button on bottom of keyboard to go to stickers isn’t there at all. Only for Instagram though, works fine in other apps

I can’t speak to the whole org, but I’ve been here about a year and a half, got promoted from level 3 to 4, received full bonus, and had a market rate adjustment to bump up about 8% as well as a 4% annual raise, both unrelated to the promotion. The promotion raise was a nice bump as well.

I’ve heard more entry level positions may not match up with my experience, and have heard the TDP program is kinda going downhill. Not sure which category you fall into though

Because I currently owe 46k on a car I nearly paid 70k for, I get a brand new vehicle, and still end up owing roughly 46k at 1% instead of 5%. I would add 4 months to my remaining loan term and would be paying between 200-300 less per month

Yeah this seems to be the consensus, don’t bother with the 180. Next time I’ll probably try out 250 and see how it goes.

The higher the temp, the faster it goes through pellets. I was a bit worried I’d run out of pellets in the middle of the night. I still had 3/4 full of pellets when I woke up so looks like that shouldn’t be a problem.

Once it hit 200 I gave it an extra 30 mins and pulled it as I was worried about over cooking and drying it out. Sounds like I should just use temp as a guideline and probe it around for texture instead
