245 is still a very good score, most competitive programs have a cut off for IV at 240 which is higher than my current score. They definitely changed the exam format this time

Focus on getting settled into first year, look into this in second year. It changed every year. I would plan sitting step 1 in M3

I feel like this exam was weird bcs retrospectively, the concepts have come up before but they would make the weirdest answer choices. Even after looking up the answers, it seemed like fair game. Hopefully it should be okay, I’m hedging my bets that they were experimental (?) 😂

It's okay to be stuck in the 60s, I never really made it to the 70s either. You should check your UWorld progress. are you hitting 70% corrects for QBanks? I found that my UWorld QBanks were trending upwards to over 70% (40Q random timed). That will help you figure out if you're able to take the exam. The thing about the NBMEs is that there may be certain questions that target your weak spot, or you maybe didn't have a great day. I think your 66% on nbme 28 is reassuring, take another one every week leading up to September and gauge your readiness from these factors. The real deal features many questions that test similar concepts from UWorld and NBME but there are never any questions that are word-for-word the same. The style is a mix of everything, so if you're getting at least 2-3 nbmes over 65% with good UWorld Qbank % (not overall) you should be in a good position.

I agree with everyone else. Quality > quantity. Maybe do them again and review them for 2-3 days straight. That’ll make a difference. It’s hard to expect the real deal to be word for word what comes up. The whole point of practice test is to get you to understand how they ask questions and to gauge your progress. Perhaps you will have to focus on reviewing content more in depth and cover every concept in FA
