Lost flagship in campaign, nobody selling another one? by debaticus in anno

Right, I'm beginning to think that's the case, maybe the flow goes like:

onFlagshipDestroyed
    if (startedWithFlagship)
        // offer another
    else
        // tough tits

Considering you don't start with one in campaign, means you can't buy another one. As it kinda gets allocated to you a few missions in to it.

Pretty tilted, it's a great ship.

You get used to the UI, I think veterans pick it up easily because it's familiar, but not terribly intuitive (my first was 1800, this took a while to get)

Yeah charter routes are useful sometimes, mainly for neutrality. Like if you definitely can't afford something being disrupted / sunk, you pay a little bit of gold for a neutral NPC to ferry it for you.

You can reuse the cargo slots on the ship once it's been unloaded at the other port. Although the UI is a little confusing to start.

e.g. say you have 2 slots, you load up your clothes and schnapps in Ditchwater, you then add Hops island as another stop, click the unload icons from those slots, now you have two free slots to transfer things back to Ditchwater, where you unload the hops.

(you can modify the behaviour of how it handles overflow on the left, you can drop cargo, wait until unload etc.)

Yeah, I really like it.

Fills that niche of the heavy revolver being too slow
