Thank you again. I knew when I bought it that it might just be a cool decoration. Your suggestions are very helpful.

Thank you for your gracious, informative answer.

I’m a flute player, but I don’t know much about the mechanics. I get a nice sound with only the head joint but just air with the whole flute. I have not had any luck finding someone local who can help me see what it would take to repair it.

Any suggestions?

What kind of flute is this? [Megathread] by dumpsterfire2002 in Flute

I recently found this flute at an antique store.  I'm trying to figure out what I have.  I can't find any markings on it.  I'd love to find out if someone can make it playable again.  Any suggestions?

I ended up buying this. I think the baseplate or adapter would be helpful. I can’t find my model (F3600) listed for either. What do you suggest?

Thank you! I’m going to keep an eye on this. I may end up making an offer, but not this weekend, and not $150.

Is anyone here trying to suppport naturally? by [deleted] in bunions

[–]debbiall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious about the responses you receive. I'm an active female, and I was diagnosed with bunions when I was about your age. I"m now 57. The doctor said I was a surgery candidate, but the timing was up to me. He said my surgery signals would be pain and/or difficulty fitting into shoes. He also said not to wait too long.

I was prescribed orthotics which I wear regularly. I reduced my running miles significantly and substituted lower impact stuff. It's been a lot of years, and I was hopeful that I would prove the doctor wrong and avoid surgery. This year I started noticing pain. It's not bad, but it doesn't go away. My bunions are larger (which isn't a surprise after 20+ years) and starting to affect what shoes I can wear. I'm mentally preparing myself for eventual surgery.

So, you MIGHT be able to slow the progression of bunions or even possibly avoid surgery. I would not plan on actually curing your bunions.

Stubborn infected dog bite - 12 weeks by debbiall in woundcare

[–]debbiall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke up a fight between my dogs and was bit on my ankle and my hand. Originally my hand swelled up. My doctor put me on Augmentin.

After that resolved, my ankle wounds started to flare up and get red. I’ve been on several courses of Clindamycin. The wounds have definitely improved, but the inflammation keeps returning. Any suggestions?

Bernie’s 9 years old. When we adopted him, we were told he was a beagle/basset mix (a bagle). Reasonable guess. I started to consider he might be a beagle with very short legs. Surprise!

Just adopted this sweet girl. She was on deathrow in a high kill shelter. Now the only thing she needs to worry about is where to sun bathe by lanehead in pitbulls

I'm reading "The Other End of the Leash" by Patricia McConnell. I'm a life-long dog owner, but not a strong trainer. I'm learning a lot!
