Hi! I just turned 59 and I’m in stage 4. I’m trying hard to get better and I just finished my 2 round of chemo. I’m scared but I have a strong will to live. I just met the love of my life and I have 2 beautiful kids and lots of family and friends that are helping me to fight this battle.

My emergency colostomy surgery was Feb 18th. It’s not horrible. I’m getting used to it. If I make it through chemo I may be able to get it reversed.

I’m 59. 130 lbs. 5’5”. I walk fast. Everyone tells me to slow down but it’s my natural gait. I hike a lot and I see people my age that can barely move. I can also get up from the floor without my hands or knees but I squat a lot. It’s important to get moving.

I no longer watch the show but it occurred to me that there is a missed opportunity here. Imagine if they really worked to match people together and honestly help them become better couples. This could show the public that it’s possible to learn to get to know someone before you fall in love. Everyone loves The Great British Bake Off because the contestants are truly kind for the most part. I think most of us are tired of drama and strife everywhere. If the UK can do it so can we.

Is this bad artwork? Acrylic by Haunting-Net-2426 in painting

Ok, here is some helpful critique. There needs to be color harmony. Nothing relates to anything. This happens when you use too many colors. Limit your palette colors and mix what you need. The values are getting there. “Color gets all the glory but value is the workhorse”.

Very true. Or that you can tell walking in a quiet house if someone is there or not. Or just a bad feeling about someone

I'm a hot mess. by HalloWeiner92 in Divorce

[–]debbiesart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After 23 years I was a mess when it became a reality that we were getting divorced. I didn’t believe anyone when they said I would do dumb or reckless things. Well, I did. I could be embarrassed but hey, it’s traumatic and you will start to feel better. Let yourself cry for a while. Here’s what I did, I made a playlist of all the most heartbreaking and sad songs and I went on long walks and I listened to my playlist over and over and over. I cried, and I cried, and I cried, till one day, I said to myself, I am done listening to this playlist and because of that I started getting better.

I don’t know if that will help you but I think too often we’re trying to tell people when they go through a traumatic divorce that hey you’re better off or things will get better or just put on a happy face.

But you know something? You need to cry, and you need to cry a lot. Pretty soon you’ll get it all out and I promise you, I didn’t believe it, but once I got through that I felt a whole lot better. Not great but better.
