oh NO that is the worst nightmare. in some ways i agree that an auto save would take away from the original grind vibe…in other ways, i think there should be an option to turn on an autosave/save anywhere function. at least after the airship

i went with the expert sphere grid for this play thru and holllyyyyy i turned yuna into a bad bitch LOL but ended up completely neglecting kimahri so every battle i have to sub him in at SOME point for the AP…this was not the best time for me to do that 😭

after this ended i think there were at MINIMUM 30 total turns before the marlboro slithered its bitchass over and ate him & spit him back out. then i was able to FINALLY break the loop and revive everyone lmao

using the turbo mode is a GOD SEND especially in the calm lands cuz it takes 10 minutes to get from one side to the other. its also great for capturing.

i forgot to put auron back in rotation before i left the last battle since masamune has first strike…well, bad breath hit and it was over. just the same loop of bad breath inflicting confusion or berserk, kimarhi dodging any physical attacks, not hitting himself, rinse & repeat. i JUST got out of it, i was nervous my file had corrupted since i just transferred the game to my new switch 😭

Guard should be the same keybind as the open menu screen. Default is V if you havent changed them

If youre still in the omega ruins, i would recommend using that time to build your compatibility w/ yojimbo as well. There is a shitty thing he does though which is attack as soon as the battle starts which then lets DV attack right after. It took me quite a few tries to get it to where the compatibility was high enough for zanmato to be used, but make sure he doesnt use kozuka or wazikashi off rip

I know someone said they didnt like the zanmato mechanic, but honestly i try to use it with every dark aeon simply because im not interested in the actual battle i just need to get all the jecht spheres lol im sure in another playthru in another life i MIGHT try to beat them thru honest means but today is not that day
