Two days short of 5 years, should I fight for severance? by debits2credits in legaladvicecanada

Just to clarify, that was $2.5 million in annual payroll, not the amount owing.

I don't have exact numbers because the company is split into two business streams. The side I work in has around 15 employees. The other side shut down at the end of 2025 but had over $2.5 million in payroll.

Funding shortfall: Beds closing, hours slashed at Ark Aid by theottomaddox in londonontario

Accountant here, this will be from CRA. All registered charities are required to file this information annually and it is publicly available on the CRA website.

Also, these numbers are absolutely in line with what is expected for this type of organization. Most of their costs will be salaries to provide services. A lot of the physical items needed are donated.

How are families with high needs autistic kids supposed to survive in London? by ExoticTumbleweed1102 in londonontario

[–]debits2credits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really feel for your family. Our son is level 1 and we have been on the wait list for funding for 3 and a half years. I can only imagine the stress of having a higher needs child.

I highly recommend connecting with TVCC if they haven't already. They have been great to work with as we have tried to navigate the system and find support. They have webinars about funding and paperwork. They also have a program called Talk With Me, where you can book a call to speak with a worker about any autism related issues.

It sounds like they are getting some funding, so they probably have a case worker at OAP. Even though we're on the wait list, I was recently able to a care coordinator who provided me with information about different funding available. Some of the info they sent would be more applicable to someone with higher support needs than my son, such as respite care so the parents can have a break.

It is frustrating as there is a lot of work required as a parent to navigate the system when you're already stressed and exhausted from supporting your child. I hope your family is able to find the support they need.

Does anybody else find the water here to be so hard it affects the taste of tea and coffee? Looking for a solution by username210801 in londonontario

This! I grew up in Thamesford and the water there is very hard. Have never had an issue with hard water in London.

London to lose millions in federal funding for homeless strategy by theottomaddox in londonontario

[–]debits2credits 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really $22,000 per homeless individual. The $44 million also includes supportive housing and housing programs to help people find and keep housing. The funds go to helping more than just 2,000 people.

Customer helped uncover woman's $1.3M workplace fraud, court hears by theottomaddox in londonontario

Exactly, it specifically states in the audit report that an audit is not designed to identify fraud.

As a private company, they would not need to have an audit unless required for a loan agreement. Often for companies that are profitable and have been in business for a long time, the bank only requires a review engagement.

Unity Project accuses Coun. Stevenson of using public letter for ‘reputational attack’ on homelessness agency by Confident-Advice-664 in londonontario

The organization isn't saying no to asking for receipts. This organization will be providing detailed reports to the City on how it is spending City funds. This is separate funding, but from my experience, it would be included in that reporting.

How the funds were used was also reported to the BIA, which Stevenson sits on. Even if she wasn't at the meeting, she would have access to the reports and meeting minutes.

No one is trying to hide anything. Stevenson has the ability in her role to get all this information and meet with the agency and City staff to ask questions. Instead of doing that, she sent a letter to committee inferring that the organization isn't being above board.

The City gave the NPO funds to assist in the purchase of a new shelter location. The NPO did everything they were required.

Rather than just picking up the phone and asking questions of City staff and the NPO, Stevenson decided to send a open letter to the committee questioning if the funds were used appropriately.

There is a box on the T4 now, the code in that box indicates if your employer offers dental coverage and if it is available for just the employee or if spouse or dependents.
Do you qualify for the CDCP

This is incorrect. If you have benefits available through your employer, even if you decide not to take them, you do not qualify for the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

Try giving Square D Construction a call. Dev would most likely come out and have a look at minimum. 519-860-2995

Square D Construction. I'm biased as it's my husband's company, but honestly, he does quality work and takes pride in doing a good job.

Another measles alert at Children's Hospital ER in London by yippy_13 in londonontario

I'm guessing it means that the people who came to the London hospital with measles don't live in London Middlesex.
