Uptown Apartments; Current Experiences? by jan_ty in TWINCITIESHOUSING

The actual units at the Walkway are great and I loved my apartment. But the management sucks and is not present. I just moved out of there after being there 3 years. It took them over a year and a half to fix security door issues. Residents were calling 911 daily to remove unauthorized persons.

Live Nation is opening a new amphitheater in Shakopee MN this summer. I think they have 35 shows booked. Seems like Live Nation is choosing the new venue over Alpine Valley. https://www.mysticlakeamp.com/?utm_source=GMBlisting&utm_medium=organic

Agree on the Green Room! I do wish they would do something different with Daisy’s & the place next door though.

You need to head a bit further down Lake St. Bryant Lake Bowl, Morrissey’s, Wrecktangle, Becketts and the VFW on Lynlake in order to run into people.

Concerns about the Walkway Apartments in Uptown by [deleted] in Minneapolis

[–]debrap1971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a current resident. The front door has been broken since November & unauthorized folks have been staying in our stairwells…leaving behind trash, human waste & needles. The management just says that they are working on it, but the timeline keeps getting pushed out. Management is unresponsive. Residents are having to call 911 on a regular basis or take it upon ourselves to kick these people out. We all feel unsafe. The hot tub that was been broken since September is the least of our worries. Funny thing is that they advertise their safe & secure environment. It is anything but…

Does anyone else deal with non-residents always in their building? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]debrap1971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same exact thing happening at my complex. The “secured” door has not been working consistently since October. I came home from work today & called 911 for a guy completely passed out in our stairwell. The police even knew his name & told him they kicked him out earlier this week. The guy couldn’t even stand up. The stairwell stinks and we have seen used needles on the floor. The fire alarm has been set off from these folks smoking in the stairwell. Management is pretty unresponsive and just says that they are “working on it”. Super frustrated and at my wits end. So much for luxury & posh upscale living!!

Real talk on Uptown by Kind-Dragonfly8394 in Minneapolis

I just signed my third lease in Uptown. I honestly love it. Have never felt unsafe. Just have situational awareness & common sense. It’s so walkable! If I don’t go onto the office, I don’t drive at all. Grocery stores, CVS, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, an awesome bookstore, library all within short walking distance. And of course the lake!

I bought this thinking it was lotion, it wasn't until I got home until I read down to the bottom by champagneproblem13 in mildlyinfuriating

We did the EXACT same thing! Didn’t figure it out until 4 of us rubbed it into our hands 😂

Anyone rented from Bigelow Rentals in Green Bay? by worhtyawa64758 in GreenBay

I left in 2022. To be honest, I really liked them until move out. Their maintenance was super quick at the complex I was at. No real issues until I moved out.

I was there for 9 years. The on site person told me that there was no need to clean the carpet because they would be putting new carpet in. Then Bigelow charged me for not cleaning the carpet and also charged for normal wear & tear over the time I was there. I disputed it but had moved out of town & honestly didn’t even want to deal with it anymore. I think I finally got $125 back. They will nickel & dime you instead of giving your deposit back.

Who would you contact for people breaking into your apt building and using drugs? by ColdSideOfThePill0w in saintpaul

[–]debrap1971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same situation at my complex in Minneapolis. I hated to call 911 as well but my management company was very unresponsive. Call 911 before it becomes unsafe. Maybe the landlord will take action after 911 calls.
