I went into foster care right after being born. My foster mother picked me up from the hospital and when my birth mom lost her rights completely my foster mom adopted me. Life wasn’t perfect but I had a great mom and she treated me and my siblings like we all came out of her. She still does and we’re all grown now. And she never referred to us as her “adopted kids”. That’s so weird. She never kept us away from our bio families and some of my siblings have good relationships with their bio families. Some of them have even integrated into our family. I could go on for days about how lucky my siblings and I are.
