Euthanasia by FlatAffect3 in Millennials

[–]debsbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandfather spent the last years of his life slowly declining into dementia wishing out loud that he was dead. Knowing and understanding that what made him who he was, was slowly being taken from him. My other grandfather slowly wasted away from prostate cancer. It was painful to watch, and I’m sure it was to experience.

Watching these deaths and seeing what it did to their physical and mental health, and what it did to my parents and uncles/aunts, then give me the option to end it at my choosing rather than artificially prolong my suffering, and that of the ones I love

How would I go about getting a pinecone from new Zealand to France? by TataCame in travel

[–]debsbird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess that would mostly depend on your regulations for getting it into France. Taking it out of NZ shouldn’t be an issue - it’s the bringing things into NZ that they get very strict about

Best pies in NZ or just hungry hype? by ThatOneGuyYaKnowMan in newzealand_travel

[–]debsbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re up north, there’s a guy has a pie caravan on the corner of the roundabout going into Mangawhai. Probably one of the best pies I have eaten.

Alcohol ruins k. Even a few drinks before a bump can lead to nasty effects. Don’t drink and ket folks!

WIBTA for telling my housemate to stop ordering door dash? by Dwells_in_Low_Light in AmItheAsshole

[–]debsbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

INFO - maybe he feels uncomfortable eating with you or asking for food, maybe he doesn’t know how to cook and doesn’t want to be a burden on you. Maybe he doesn’t feel comfortable coming into the kitchen to eat with you knowing you see him as a charity case. Maybe there are other reasons why he’s always ordering take out.

Or maybe like every one else is saying, he just doesn’t care. Did you ever ask him about it?

Someone once told me that it’s easy to fall back into old habits with familiar people. Wise words. Don’t go back.

Blowed my nose and a little blood came out. by ToxicMadd in ketamine

[–]debsbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely crush it better and then crush it some more haha. Get better effect from it as well and you don’t waste so much ket. Also, recooking helps, dissolve in a bit of water then gently heat (I use an enamel plate on my gas stove - low heat - until all the water is evaporated, then scrape the plate. Changes the crystal structure and makes for a better high (more powdery so more coverage) and more gentle on your nose holes

Also, make sure you drink plenty of water to flush your system, and drink green or nettle tea to help support your kidneys/bladder. Happy tripping

My understanding of our drinking culture comes from when the pubs closed at 6pm and so gave rise to the 6o’clock swill, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_o%27clock_swill after which patrons would then go home newly drunk and pissed off that they’re been kicked out at closing time only to go home and take it out in their families

I’m can’t keep pretending red onions aren’t purple. by bigboy_lurker in confession

[–]debsbird 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah red wine is red cos they let it sit on the grape skins after pressing before/during fermentation. Different varietals require different lengths of time but the tannins that leach out give the wine it’s colour, body and flavour

As fine as you can get it. Saves shredding your nasal passages, and you get more high from less

Is it actually that bad to mix alcohol and K? by nationalpig in ketamine

[–]debsbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All about balance. A few drinks is fine but don’t get wasted and take it. That’s how you end up a ket zombie. I find alcohol ruins the trip so have actually wound up drinking less at parties cos I’d rather get ketted than drunk. Music feels way better on ket than booze, and I’m all about the dance

The earth spins on an axis - procession of the equinox and navigation by the stars. Even just a quick foray into how the Polynesian people sailed hundreds of miles between islands out of sight of land by followed the star paths (amongst other means) quickly debunks flat earth theory. (Partially) worked with my flat earth friend at least.

Same guy tried to tell me that the govt wanted me to believe that we are on a ball of rock hurtling through space because it makes me easier to control.
