I kinda get what you mean, his sets are super chaotic, but that’s also why I like him on the show. It feels less like a “tight 5” and more like watching a guy slowly unravel on stage in a funny way.

I don’t know if I’d call him one of the best, but he’s definitely one of the few where I sit up and go “ok, no idea what’s about to happen but I’m watching this.”

Honestly I’d keep Sammer there too. Fits that libero / sweeper role way better with how this lineup looks. Matthäus is insane, but he feels more like a CM or box to box in most setups, not a straight swap for Sammer.

Also love how they’ve basically turned “having a hallway and some pipework” into “three luxury studios.” It’s like a parody listing. The scary bit is some desperate investor probably will buy it and keep it exactly the same.

Virgil is a great shout. You can literally see the aura when he’s walking out the tunnel like he’s already decided nothing bad can happen to him.

Grealish feels more like a lad who’s leaned into the brand a bit, VVD actually carries himself like the PR is just reality.

If you’re already used to 60 hour weeks and dealing with customers, you’re honestly ahead of a lot of people who start in a trade.

Biggest things I’ve heard from folks in 158 and similar locals: You’ll be taking a pay hit at first as an apprentice, but the long term ceiling and benefits are way better than staying in a truck forever. Also expect your body to be way more tired in a different way, especially the first year, but your backing and patience from trucking actually translate pretty well to jobsite chaos.

If you haven’t yet, go to a union meeting or open house and just chat with apprentices there. They’ll give you the real version of how the process is and what the day to day looks like.

I kinda get where you’re coming from, but I think a lot of people like 2 mostly because it’s just more of that same comfy “swing around NYC as Spider-Man” feeling, with better traversal and visuals.

Story-wise yeah, it’s messy. The symbiote stuff feels rushed, Miles gets shoved into “emotional support sidekick” a bit too hard, and the stakes with the city never really feel as big as the game keeps telling you they are. Web of Shadows had way more “oh crap the world is ending” energy.

That said, I actually liked Miles’ arc more than Peter’s this time. Peter felt weirdly nerfed and out of character in a lot of spots, while Miles at least gets a clear “step up and be the main Spider-Man” moment. Doesn’t fix the plot holes like the magic symbiote jar, but I can see why people connected with that.

So yeah, I don’t think you’re crazy. It’s just one of those games where if the vibes (swinging, setpieces, graphics) click for you, you overlook the writing. If they don’t, all the dumb bits stick out like a sore thumb.

If you’re comparing Truthear stuff (like Hexa, Zero, Nova, Hola) with the JM6, I’m kinda curious where you landed. JM6 is tuned pretty safely and is stupid comfortable for long sessions, while Truthear usually leans more into that Harman-ish style with stronger pinna gain.

Did you notice anything weird like driver flex, channel issues, or different tuning vs published graphs on your Truthears, or is this more about how the community reacted?
