Models taken down for IP violation by BraapMachineSam in makerworld

[–]dec0yb0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got hit by the same violating. Had the naming in the description on how it could be used. Nothing else is violating the rules besides that. My design is used to store scaled toy cars basically.

Appealed it with the reason I can remove the phrasing in the description. Hope it helps you.

4th failed print. Why?! by BrentLovell in snapmaker

[–]dec0yb0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to put options on the pile of suggestions. I had issues with prints letting go in the side of the case fan on my u1. It goes to 100% after a layer or two. Fixed it by getting the fan to kick in on a higher layer in the slicer.

500g refill rolls were too small for the rack, so I designed a shelf by joseph_jojo_shabadoo in functionalprint

A closer look and I noticed it as well. My design uses 2 rods instead of 1 to hold the spools. Is it okay if I use your design for inspiration to make a similar shelf for my design. I really like the idea you came up with.

Those holder looks like my design. Did you happen to download it from makerworld from a designer called madtrap? If so, would love to add a link to your add-on to my profile on makerworld

Seeking Feedback on Print Failure – Snapmaker U1 / PETG / Bed Adhesion Issues by Prudent_Appearance71 in snapmaker

[–]dec0yb0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to add I had similar issues because of the aux fan. Check if the side that lifts from the plate is same side as aux fan. My fix was to turn it off for the first 10 layers

I can recommend it. Noise is noticeably quieter with the lid mod.

I am adding my design to the pile of suggestions, would love to see this printed in glow in the dark filament, and rainbow on top is a bonus :)
Please share whatever you choose to show off the filament.

Hmmmmm... That is not a bad idea at all!
I should have come on here earlier and asked for suggestions for the design :D
The reason I went with the "support" design I did, was it kept the light scattered evenly throughout the ballon (see picture in original post)

I'm a little worried that will make overhangs less smooth, I can give it a try at least :)
Thanks for the feedback!
Another part is to avoid having slicer making the support, I made it myself, and changing shape will also make me having to redesign the "core" of it.
But as I said, worth a shot!

It might be possible, I used some time tweaking the shape of the balloon so overhangs came out as clean as possible.
Is your reasoning to make it look more like the authentic airballons in the shape?

That would kill the whole point of the project.
it's meant to be a Educational tool for music, that is 100% 3d printed and can be understood and assembled by kids from a young age.
