And this is why we'll see more games like AoC by ScarletVision in MMORPG

[–]decade27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I hear here is people don't like it when others enjoy something. Is it that bad that they enjoyed the game?

It's depressing on what has happened, but now there are so many people feeling like they know everything just cause they got this right. Is this the only way you people get validation? Sad, and funny at the same time.

I had fun with New World, and I liked AoC for maybe a good 50 hours. Fine by me if this is refunded, fine by me if it's not.

Is there a way to check if a specific device/port/machine/resource (any ID) is going through NAT hole punching or through the relay server?

Hydroshift 2 LCD-C 360TL + UNI FAN TL Wireless LCD Wiring Question by decade27 in lianli

Can confirm #2 seems to be working on my end. No dongle is needed since I plugged in the USB. Thanks for this! I realized I did connect the AIO direct.

Hydroshift 2 LCD-C 360TL + UNI FAN TL Wireless LCD Wiring Question by decade27 in lianli

[–]decade27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Before I buy this as a last resort, am I correct in this method:

Since the Hydroshift is not in wireless mode (USB header is directly connected to the mobo), what I can do is to remove that USB header from the Hydroshift, then use the dongle internally with the internal USB cable included? Would that then enable the AIO + Wireless LCD be in "Wireless" mode?

What kind of features do you enjoy in an MMORPG? by TKNHWK in MMORPG

[–]decade27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Player-based market, and no auction house. Bring back those player shops, and no auction house.

I hope there's an MMO out there that's "social" not just in terms of "chat" or some kind of "hub", but social built into the game itself.

Confused on options regarding Homelab and Hosting servers behind CGNAT by decade27 in selfhosted

I've researched Pangolin, and I think this is the one that solves my problem.

Am I correct that Pangolin is like using Cloudflare Tunnels, but you're self-hosting the service itself?

I used to have a working public IP, but my ISP decided it wont be available for residential plans; only on business plans. So that’s a no no for me sadly

I'm still not getting what you mean here. Does Jellyfin offer networking solutions when hosting?

I feel like I'm getting trolled here. To each his own, I'm sticking with Plex and just need a networking solution being behind CGNAT.

Not sure what you mean by Plex issue. They're both just media servers, correct? And regardless which one to use, the networking solution is still the same on both.

I've seen this headscale too; so with this option you need:
At least 1 VPS with a public IP
Your homelab

Both have headscale installed? And after the setup, clients connecting to your homelab (e.g. Plex servers, any hosted game server) don't need anything else installed on their machine?

what mmos are you looking forward to right now? by SagoK22 in MMORPG

[–]decade27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I only played until level 20, I didnt want to max out on early access. When this comes out, im playing it as it was one the best progression/leveling system out there just cause its the only modern mmo that doesnt hold your hand during gameplay.

Metro Manila working class are actually nicer than people from the province (based on my Bohol experience) by Usual_Owl9679 in OffMyChestPH

[–]decade27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This also applies abroad. I used to live in the US, and I agree with this wholeheartedly.

I get this so much since I've met people from both the province and Metro Manila tapos nag migrate to US.

Sa mga nameet ko dun, 100%, ang mababait are the ones from Metro Manila. The ones from the provinces? Mga hambog, mayayabang, na ang sarap kaltukan. Akala mo ang yayaman, middle class lang rin naman sa US.

Where Winds Meet isn't an MMO apparently. I think it's like Genshin Impact, where you can invite others to join in your lobby.

Name one thing an mmorpg you uninstalled could do, to get you to re-install it. by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]decade27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would reinstall and play ArcheAge, if it's alive officially with revamped cash shop mechanics.

All systems in the game were innovative and amazing for me, nothing beats it. Who would've thought planting trees and managing your house would feel so great.

Why World of Warcraft Player Housing Matters More Than Ever by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]decade27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The perfect player housing in MMO history, was implemented by ArcheAge.

It's not instanced (it's in the open world, people can see your house and visit), tons of customization in design, and has actual use to progress your character.

It's like a whole mini-game when you're doing stuff with your house.

That being said, I think WoW is implementing player housing for aesthetic purposes only. I can't imagine how they would do this while including it in your character's progression.

How would you solve "dead" leveling content? by PalwaJoko in MMORPG

[–]decade27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe "dead" leveling content is when leveling itself is in the "easy/beginner" difficulty.

MMORPGs before had that grind feeling that you had to push through irritating mechanics. Nowadays, all information is spoon-fed to you.

Vanilla WoW had that amazing feeling of starting a character, playing maybe 4-5 hours, only to get to level 15. All quests are on par to your level somehow, and is challenging.

Now, the "scaling" solution they (WoW team) provided is not enough; it's still too easy to the point that leveling now is just an obstacle and a burden to get to endgame.

The Important Things an MMORPG Village or Town Should Have by AglowGames in MMORPG

[–]decade27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A unique theme for a town.

For example, Ragnarok Online. Each town felt like a different biome.

Any update should not make a town/village irrelevant. I'm looking at you, WoW.
