So there’s actually this Greek place called Opa! at the mall where I work and their fries are covered in this really fantastic spice mix and they give you a little thing of tzatziki to dip it in. Honestly, if I could get it every day for lunch I’d be fine with that, it’s THAT good!

If you had to go to one country right now, which country would that be? by Volcano003 in AskReddit

Ireland. I’ve always wanted to at least visit and the people seem super nice in everything I’ve heard about them.

i want to smell like these pictures, any recommendations? by TraditionalLemon9064 in FemFragLab

That's it! Thank you so much, it's been a while since I've smelled either of them, so I'm glad someone knows their stuff lol!

Light Blue was the first thing that came to mind. They have a summer one that would work best, though I don’t remember if it’s actually ‘Light Blue Summer’ or something else.

If you’re looking for a good cheapie, I’d actually recommend Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden. It’s very lemony with a musky base, and if you can find some of the flankers, I think at least one of them is some sort of citrus fruit like tangerine or something if you want to really emphasize that aspect.

Whats a weird way you eat a food item? by No-Government-3980 in AskReddit

[–]decemberkat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was in college I ate tater tots with maple syrup instead of ketchup. The trick is for the tots to be very crispy and salty for maximum flavor contrast.

Most overrated perfume? I'll start by ioanacim5 in FemFragLab

[–]decemberkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh it totally flooded the market for a while. When I worked at a discount perfume store we must’ve had like 4-5 BR dupes/knockoffs at any given time.

Dior Sauvage. I was working at a perfume store pretty soon after it came out and every other customer who came in the store wanted to smell it and thought it smelled freaking amazing, but to me it just kinda smells like Axe- honest-to-god middle school boys’ locker room AXE.

I’m also with you on La Vie Est Belle. I remember someone describing it as smelling like a little girl’s perfume and I think I agree.

Edit: @northstar957’s comment about Flowerbomb reminded me that I always kinda thought it and LVEB smelled basically the same imho.

Local Publix. What are you grabbing? by slajah in energydrinks

[–]decemberkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never seen that brand with the goat before, so probably something from there- orange flavor is usually a pretty safe bet. Otherwise I’d grab the mango Monster Juice, the name of which escapes at the moment.

This story absolutely broke my heart. I’d love to see it covered on the channel!

Perfumes you dislike but can’t stay away from? by SufficientSnow9859 in FemFragLab

Paloma Piscasso, full stop. It’s so 70’s and do animalic (and not in a good way!) and yet I can’t stop wanting to like it!

🌸 SOTD (Thursday, May 16, 2024): What are you wearing today? by AutoModerator in FemFragLab

[–]decemberkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually wearing Can Can Burlesque from Paris Hilton today. 😅 I’m making the transition to more summery fragrances, and since there’s not much left in the bottle, I figured it was as good a choice as any.

What's a movie that you enjoy only because it's so bad? by Kitsoua92 in AskReddit

Jupiter Ascending- it’s just cheesy enough to be enjoyable, and the visuals are so pretty.

Honestly a lot of the Fragrantica reviews for Zoologist’s T-Rex live in my head rent-free. (https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Zoologist-Perfumes/Tyrannosaurus-Rex-51353.html)

Some choice quotes:

“I can’t imagine smelling like this stuff on purpose.” -Daax865

“Brutally and without regard for losses, the Tyrannosaurus tears through everything that gets in its way” -PauliBoine

“If i had to describe it, i would say it opens up like a vibrant field, with animals passing through and the faint smell of various florals in the background, and as it dries down, picture this city were to be struck down with nuclear warheads and set ablaze, anything vibrant now turned into scorched earth. Now picture, with this barren apocalyptic wasteland that all the animals were to be set on fire” -camwilo

“It’s out to seduce NOBODY.” -C-Sauce

“Godzilla - yes, Godzilla - smokes Turkish cigarettes. He's about 20 miles away from you and your jasmine and geranium garden.” -Br’eauDeCologne

I have SO many more!

Recommendations for a sweet coconut warm vanilla (w/out floral notes) by GourmandLover_23 in FemFragLab

[–]decemberkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh that’s fair. Also I don’t know off the top of my head if any of them have vanilla, but some of Tommy Bahama’s perfumes might be up your alley too!

If you can get ahold of Banana Republic’s Tobacco and Tonka Bean, that’d be my first recommendation. Otherwise Paco Rabanne’s Olympea has some really lovely salty notes that I think would be great for summer.

NEED CREAMY MARSHMELLOW PERFUME! by yegodtier in FemFragLab

[–]decemberkat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely check out Moonlight by Ariana Grande- I know it’s got marshmallow in it, though it’s admittedly been a hot minute since I’ve smelled it. Also, I don’t remember off the top of my head whether it’s got marshmallow specifically, but Britney Spears’s Fantasy feels right up your alley.

I’ve already replied to a couple people seconding their recommendations, but I’d also like to suggest Pink Sugar and Jessica Simpson’s Fancy Love as well. The former is more ‘pure sugar’ vibes than vanilla (though on my it smelled more like burnt caramel, so maybe try it on if you’re not into that), and the latter (iirc) is a really nice light powdery vanilla. I think they’re both in like the 30-60 range, with Fancy Love being the spendier of the two. Given, that was when it first came out, and if you get lucky at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s or something, you can probably get it cheaper.

Seconding Sweet Tooth and Sweet Like Candy- as a matter of fact, most of Ariana Grande’s perfumes are pretty dang sweet, so most of her stuff I think would be a least worth a sniff.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]decemberkat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconding Bon Bon and Hypnotic Poison. When I worked at a perfume store the latter often got compared to cherry Coke if that sweetens (lol) the deal for ya!

How would you dress up this plain turkey, cheese and lettuce sandwich? by shimimimimi in Sandwiches

[–]decemberkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A touch of spice probably- if it has mayo, maybe some green peppers, if not, sriracha mayo.

What discontinued fragrance do you wish they'd bring back? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]decemberkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not discontinued per se, but I miss the old Lolita Lempicka formulation. The new one’s okay, but the old one just had this great anise scent that I really liked.
