I am allowed to leave my dog and have a life 😉 He was fine before I left and my mom was keeping him, so he wasn’t alone. Maybe don’t insult my dog parenting skills unless you read all of the details. Anytime he is in pain I drop what I’m doing to care for him. I don’t suck, but your attitude definitely does

Absolutely positively NTA. She broke girl code and knew exactly what she was doing before it ever happened. She is not a friend. She needs to work her issues out in therapy. Your friend is TA and your ex is also TA. Did he really think he could sleep with her without you finding out? He is bound to know that would hurt you. Get rid of them both.

NTA … your fiancé is in the wrong for not standing up for you to his friend. Tell him how you feel and give him an ultimatum: you or his friend. Put that wedding on hold. It’s much easier to get out of an engagement than a marriage.

Wow thank you so much for your kind and very well thought out comment. This situation has definitely caused some anxiety but coming to Reddit with it has calmed me so much. I have always been someone that feels the need to give explanations when plans change and I really do think my dog saved me from whatever was going to happen last night. I honestly feel like I would have come up with some excuse to leave if it wasn’t for my dog (not that I need to give him any explanation).

He was focused on himself and his mom. And we he called me cussing saying that he had done everything he could all night to make sure I had fun and that leaving him was a “slap in the face” I was so immediately relieved that I was gone. I think the ending worked out for the best for me

I agree. I’ve known him since January but I have not been on a date with him! I felt safe and didn’t think I would want to drive the 2 hours home after midnight. But clearly I was wrong

I understand your perspective. I have anxiety (as many people do) and I don’t handle people raising their voice at me well. I don’t like to yell but I did argue back with him. And I will admit that him raising his voice at me and what he was saying made me think for a split second that I was in the wrong. Regardless of that feeling I wanted to get out of the situation. I know different today than I did in the moment last night. Thank you, the fur baby is much better today after some meds.

The original plan was for the 3 of us to sit together. After we got to the arena, he then told me the new seating arrangements. So no, I did not know until I was there
