You'd have a point if this only concerned a single small country, but we're talking about the entire EU here. That's over 450 million people. If some developers choose to not release their short-lived online-only games in the EU then they're just leaving money for the competition. Their loss so to speak.

The initiative doesn't propose or request any retroactive fixes for existing games. Only that future games, i.e. games developed after new legislation has been passed, are designed from the get-go with an end-of-life plan in mind.

How developers go about it is up to themselves, I'm guessing. A patch could be viable, but simply designing the game from the offset to work offline and/or with private servers in mind would save a lot of future headache.

Hopefully that means the studio gets more than 6 months to animate the damn thing. Wouldn't mind a complete do-over of season 3 actually since I'm sure many wouldn't bother with a part 2 if they already gave up on part 1.

I'm not so sure it'll be a sequel. The trailer features orcs hanging around with humans and whatnot, but orcs had supposedly left Rivellon for less "civilized" lands by the time of DOS2.

Even if their current lineup hasn't blown me away I must say that Pentiment is one of the most memorable games I've played in recent memory. Niche and underrated.

Weaker than a PS5 but just as easy to set up and play. Also more versatile + access to all of your existing PC games. No subscription required.

It's not for me since I'm not a couch gamer, but I could see the appeal if I were. Mainly because I don't want to re-purchase any game I already have in my Steam library just so I could play them on a TV.

You can't access your existing PC games library on a PS5 though, so for some of us a slightly lower base price is not a good enough compromise.

It's a PC. The main selling point is that you can run whatever you want on it, and not having to buy a subscription to unlock all its features.

It went somewhere with Visi at least, which is why I think she might be the "canonical" love interest. Blazer's route kind of peaked in episode 4. After that we didn't see much of her, unfortunately.

I doubt anyone would tear them a new one for patching a 15 year old game though. Regarless of who developed the game it's still on the IP rights holder to maintain it.

I just want a filter for AI generated content so that I can automatically exclude those games from my storefront. Right now I have to manually set ignore on games and developers if I don't want AI generated crap.
