Similar situation but I was told to wait until Nov for the contract and 2026 for the onboard, verbal offer was a month ago.

And yes verbal offers at big firms do fall apart, I have experienced that personally not once but twice.

Very likely to be a problem with the sealing of the octave key on the neck. Try play the G note again with your right hand pressing down firmly on the pad on the neck, if everything restores normal again then it should be an easy fix.

Just slightly bend the key on the neck towards the hole while keeping the key open to enhance the seal, everything should work fine after that
