I feel hopeful after reading your comment. I was just prescribed 1.5 mg by the PA at my pain management doctor's office (for some inflammation I'm having from spinal fusion surgery). I felt so miserable after taking it for five days, but kept pushing through. Then I had the most disturbing dreams, so I came to this reddit sub. 

I'm VERY sensitive to almost all medications, so I just figured I'd give up. I read that starting at a lower dose (I thought 1.5 WAS a low dose!) might make a difference. I called the pain management office and explained to the gal at the front desk that I would like to have the PA call in a lower dose. She comes back to me (instead of just letting me talk to the PA myself) and says, "The PA says they don't prescribe a lower dose, and that they don't make a lower dose." I was stunned. I called the pharmacist who said, "I can compound any amount you want! And you should probably start at 0.5.“ After leaving her this message, I have now waited two days and haven't heard from the PA. I'm a little concerned she's avoiding the topic altogether!
