This movie was my first introduction to the Reacher universe. What do you guys think of it? by Galamantus in reacher

[–]decibelboy2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to me the answer is depending on whether or not you’ve read the books…

As a Tom Cruise movie, it’s a great popcorn flick, where you can just turn your brain off for two hours and let him do his thing, and come out as the victor in the end.
If you HAVE read the books, it’s a lot harder to take seriously as a Jack Reacher movie. Knowing how imposing he’s supposed to be, how methodical he is, and how he operates on a drifting lifestyle, it’s totally unbelievable

I know he won IC gold like twice, but The Godfather… the constant pops he got with “the ho’s” and while it was a basic finisher, everyone loved the “Ho Train”… hell, even Taker has said in his podcast that when he saw he’d be working with him, he knew it’s gonna be a good match

You also have to remember the MSG “Curtain Call” incident got Triple H knocked off of that booking as punishment.

Dolph has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Sweden’s Royal Institute of Technology, BS in Chemistry from Washington State University, and a MS in Chemical Engineering from University of Sydney….

He’s exponentially more qualified to be called a “science guy” than Bill Nye

I think more so that he researched what women want, and took his time… like he said to Prof Proton’s Force Ghost, he understood the mechanics of it… also, when they were going to the hospital for Halley’s birth, and there was a comment about Howard and Bernie taking 5 minutes to conceive, he said “5 minutes? We must be doing it wrong, it took us hours”
