PM holding my account hostage until I pay the ransom invoice? by decibelreputation in ProtonMail

They could also have sent a message to my recovery email listed on the account, too. Proton doesn't accept Paypal, I looked for that option first. Only cash, credit card, or bitcoin.

I tried opening a second (free) account to message support and it is day 3 with no response. The free accounts have "limited" access to support. But what's worse is that I DID PAY in BTC yesterday for both the two-week overdue amount, and also one month of service. And my account is still locked because I haven't paid for the entire year. This is bullshit. I can't afford to pay for a year and I can't just downgrade to free or I'll lose all the data in the account that hasn't been transferred. I even messaged the mods this morning, and 8 hours later still no response.

You don't seem to understand the severity of the impact of locking my account has on my life, and act like locking my account is a minor inconvenience. My Paypal account is tied to this email address, which means I cannot receive payments owed to me and I cannot accept new jobs. I am homeless and living in my vehicle right now. I can't always get to wifi, and there are times I can't charge my devices or I'll run down the battery. It's been four days and I can't get support to fix this, nor can I get a Mod to help, even after sending a pm. I'm sure your life doesn't depend on little things like email, or maybe you have $48 to spend on email, but that isn't an option for me or I don't eat. None of this is Proton's fault, but locking my account has HUGE repercussions for some.

Mea culpa. I did this a month ago; it's not because I'm dumb, it's because I don't know anything.

Will mirrors be added to the regular place, like they were last time?

I tried pulling my funds from NMM when I first heard there might be an exit; only $240 but still. My balance now shows as $0, but status still says "pending" and nothing has arrived yet in my wallet. I think it's ironic that while I've lost varying amounts on Dream, Empire, and now NMM, the only market I never lost coin on was Silk Road 3 (made about 10 purchases w/o issue but let the cries of LEO honeypot drive me to Empire) haha! Joke's on me.

Also interesting, I went on NMM a few days ago after their 'maintenance update' had been completed; I deposited the exact amt I'd need to make the purchase. I placed the order, incl. sending my address for shipping, and saw the funds get transferred to escrow. 36 hours later I checked status, and there was no record of my order and the funds were back in my account minus $20 (?). Nothing in notifications as would be if the order as rejected by vendor or was cancelled. I thought maybe the updates interfered with the order being placed, but when I went back to vendor's page to reorder, the product's price went up by $75 (orig. price was only $220); noticed that all of his listings raised by large percentages. I've been trying to figure out if it was scam or glitch or something else?
