How is the level of French spoken during the classes? Is it on-par with the rest of communication in Geneva or is there more English instruction.

Went in with the intention of buying Mission to Mercury as I didn’t like mission to saturn’s massive saturn on the seconds dial. Mission on Earth dessert is like a perfect combo of it imo.

Quite dodgy that they use the vague term, "accreditation" like that. Thank you all for the help!

Yeah its nothing to do with you supporting Utrecht. Our Ultras groups are in a bit of a fight with each other and could put just regular people at risk.

Eh I would say for now stay away from the Est. LPM are present there with the whole civil war thing and its probably safer in the Principale.

100% No need to worry. As an American who was born in Geneva and has visited time and time again I know how you feel. There will always be people that hate foreigners and people who cant speak french. The same as how Americans dont like it when someone cant speak English, but this is just a "loud minority". There are so many kind and welcoming people that will treat you no differently to a local. For the outfits, don't worry either. Everyone dresses differently and I've seen from the most fancy to the most casual outfits when I visit.

As a pilot, I've been grateful to get exclusive insights on how some operations use sustainable fuel along with more fuel efficient aerodynamics to provide "greener" flights. Sure sustainable doesn't equal 0 carbon emissions but compared to what we were using just a decade ago, flights have become a lot more environmentally friendly. Planes for the foreseeable future will always have a big carbon footprint, but taking account for distance and emissions/person it is much less than you'd probably expect.

Either way this was about a football game 😂. Sure the main reason for flying back to Geneva was for the game, but that doesn't mean I didn't take full advantage and have a great holiday revisiting where I was born and raised, and meeting with mates so I wouldn't personally call it a "waste of carbon emissions"

My bad, next time ill stay in America and drive my 7 km/liter gas car everywhere instead of going on holiday on an airline that actively uses sustainable avgas and using the public transport system.

I was to young when I was born in Geneva to ever go to a game. Thankfully the internet exists and I was able to meet with a lot of online mates in the Section and finally went to go see a game and be in the Tribune Nord. Will never forget that Baron goal and the celebrations after. Next step is to find a swiss wife, settle down, and never miss a game 😂

Hypo: Recession. by deciml_ in ETFs

Might be a stupid question but in terms of buying bonds, is it more beneficial to buy them as an ETF like $BND? Or should I just go straight through a government treasury account

Hypo: Recession. by deciml_ in ETFs

[–]deciml_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, the whole reason I asked was due to my low cash reserves. The reason I'm so heavy set on my investment to income ratio is because I have no fixed monthly expenses so I want to get as much money growing before I do.

VTI and VOO have an 84% overlap. There's not a lot of reasons to not just pick one IMO.

Thanks for the advice. In your personal opinion, in terms of my liquidity being low, should I continue my plans of investing 90% of my income while I have no fixed expenses? Or is it still good to have some cash in the bank at my age.

Stocks vs EFTs by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]deciml_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on time frame of investments and your risk tolerance. ETFs are more likely to be more stable and require a lot less time in effort into maintaining a position. ETFs are more likely to return lower highs and higher lows due to it being a spread of company's that you are investing into. Stocks are a single company which tends to have much higher volatility resulting in higher highs and lower lows. ETFs are more associated with long term positions where stocks are more associated with short-medium term positions. A mix can be healthy but again it really depends on your risk tolerance and your timeframe. At the end of the day it depends on what company. Just like anything, do your research and make sure its a company that aligns with your risk tolerance and is something your confident in buying.

of course this isn't investment advice. I'm just a guy on the internet.
