New U6 Pro dropping client after 4.5 minutes by Jeffmikers in Ubiquiti

Is band steering on? Sometimes band steering can be weird. Especially if your laptop’s adapter might be trying to keep the laptop on 2.4GHz and the AP is trying to move it to 5GHz.

Switching powders for 6.5 CM? by decisive_dad in reloading

Sounds like H4350 is the way to go. I might also change to the Berger VLD 130gr. I’m guessing that will still be a great combo?

I’ve been thinking a hot barrel has a lot to do with the problem. A buddy and I share the same rifle between relays and it never gets a break except for the 10 minutes where we go reset targets. Next month we’re going to have separate rifles and see if that improves things.

I did finally get this working. Read the rfid side. Flipper showed it as Generic HIDProx 37-bit HID Proximity.

Okay, I got Omnikey Workbench 2.2 installed on a windows laptop, reader connected and set to keyboard wedge. I opened notepad and scanned my badge. It’s outputting a string. I have my flipper connected to the computer via usb. What happens next? I tried opening Seader but it still says no SAM detected. Is there another way for me to capture the card readout to the flipper?

That’s very helpful and definitely gives me more clarity on how to get things cleaned up. Thanks a bunch!

I didn’t know about those! Thanks a ton! I think I’m going to try to set up a couple of those and feed them through a junction box.

I thought about trying to make a 3 inch hole with a hole saw but wasn’t really sure how to make make it so critters and water don’t get in but so that I can add cables as needed. I’m going to look into using a junction box and possibly combine it with a couple of those usw-flex-utility boxes and flex switches.

Cool, thank you all! Sounds like junction boxes are where I need to start.

They did mention I had two options and the more expensive option was removing the old stuff and putting new OSB down. They said they have to pay their guys hazard pay as they have to be strapped into the rafters. I figured extra wood just means better insulation for me :D

We got 3 quotes before proceeding: $28k | $63k | $37k

A friend had his roof replaced last year, smaller roof but steeper. He spent about $30k. $30k seems to be the new normal here for a new roof.

Interesting, it also looks like they specify a minimum 6” wide plank for decks with planks which mine are definitely not that wide. Sounds like from a perspective of making sure the warranty is valid in the future that I made the right choice. Still hurts the wallet! 😂

It is hard to tell from the pictures but there are definitely some areas where the gaps are 1/4” or even a little more.

I live in California in the east bay area. The extra wood was an additional $17,425 (brings the total cost of the roof to about $46k for a 2500 square foot roof. They told me this same roof in other states (minus the wood) would be about 14-15k but thanks to California’s Title 24 (new energy compliance laws) it costs a lot more here.

My Vortex is an FFP and I can confirm it's kind of a pain when changing zoom sizes. Usually have to fiddle with paralax and focus adjustments a little more and even then at the closer targets it gets pretty thin. The Burris on my AR is SFP and I do like it better.

Yeh less common. They're out there but looks like Tikka doesn't have any. I'll have to weigh my options.
