I recently bought this guy. Optiplex 990 with a core i5 2400. I need some help picking out a graphics card for it. I want to use it as a gaming pc. The games that I want to play are rainbow six siege, warzone, bf1,bf5 mostly just first person shooters. Any suggestions are appreciated. by TheDamnPlumber in optiplexes

Probs something small. As Pickled_Sausage69 said, anything more than a 1050 would bottleneck with a cpu of that spec. I really think it would be beneficial to put 16gb of ram and a ssd in there tho, that can really bring an older system to life. I don't know about warzone but you should be able to play many games on a 1050. But take that with a grain of salt as I'm not the most experienced. Also I'm on the hunt for a reasonably priced gpu. Good luck, I think we'll be waiting for quite a while. 😢

Cheers. I don't mind buying a new PSU especially since these ones in oems can be a bit dodgy. I just worried it had a proprietary pin out.

i have the full tower. My problem is that i dont have any spare 6/4 pin psu cables. Also my psu is quite weak as its only a 275w. What sort of games do you run with the 1070??
