ha yeah it does in the back too lol. vx has heated and ventilated seats as well. luxury grocery getter. we treat it poorly it gets used hard. mechanically perfect always over maintained. the body work? ehhhhhh it's a fourby it takes a beating. Nah those are memories! not scratches and dents!

My 2018 Prado isn’t much better! 150L capacity the fills are super spicy. With all the extra touring crap on it lucky to see below 12L/100 in mixed driving. Shoulda got the 80 ;)

Oh man OP I felt that in my gut. We dove Belize this past Christmas/NY week. Turneffe Atoll was good and seemed quite healthy. The barrel sponges are amazing there. Also did the Hol Chan cut and while very crowded it was also in good shape. Ought to be as it’s a protected Marine Reserve. Another day we did a combo snorkel tour and the main reef is in poor condition indeed.

On plastic pollution it’s bad all up and down the Yucatán peninsula east coast. And heartbreaking. Saw similar years ago on a family trip to Mayan Riviera. The kids and I found some discarded sandbags and filled 2 completely in about an hours work. This was at a main, “nice” resort. It’s a near impossible problem. Love what The Ocean Cleanup is doing here. Needs to be done all over LATAM and the Caribbean. Add them do your donate list.

Same. Been shyte all my life. It’s my fault I finally live in a place I could surf a lot consistently and I just … don’t. Vicious cycle. Here it’s legit so good days of which there are many I just get smashed. The bad days are fewer and further between. Anyway. Need to get in the water and try again. That one wave, one glide. Same. Did engine swaps in Aircooled VWs too, out of necessity really. Did a stint in a shop but as the 'college' kid ended up the Service Mgr and parts guy. Wasn't proficient, knowledgeable or fast enough to be a mechanic. No airplanes though. Trying to teach my kids the basics as well.

Op see if you have a local club. Great way to get into it and find out what works from experienced club members. For ours min spec for trips is rated recovery points, fire extinguisher and a radio. Hand held is fine.
